Clinton Aide: Richard Endorsement Insignificant

Wall Street Journal:

Former Democratic presidential candidate and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson finally made up his mind and endorsed Sen. Barack Obama today, but a senior advisor to Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign--which likewise spent months courting the governor's nod--dismissed its significance.

"Look, I think that everyone has their endorsers," said senior Clinton strategist Mark Penn, adding-with a little huff-"I think New Mexico is a state that actually, we won."

"The time that he could have been effective has long since passed," he continued, "I don't think it is a significant endorsement in this environment."

Richardson is a traitor. I would never let down a friend. It was Bill Clinton that gave this man a top
position. Today he stabbed his friends in the back by supporting Obama. And just note the time he
chose to endorse. So that the Wright controversy could take a backseat. Perhaps Richardson must be hoping for a top job and is taking a bet on Obana becoming the next President.

If the endorsement was so insignificant why did the Clinton's try so hard to get it? It looks like so far out of the former presidential candidates who have endorsed Obama wins them 2 for 2 ...
Senator Clinton is becoming increasingly irrelevant as her lies, and schemes, and spin continue to surface ...

Wouldn't it be reasonable, even adult, for the Clinton campaign to respond to the content and rationale for Governor Richardson't endorsement rather than just provide an evaluation of its 'significance'?
Clearly Governor Richardson thought long and hard about this endorsement. And he went against his own personal and political ties to the Clinton's. So maybe there is something to learn here.

I didn't say Jihn Martha was insignificant, infact, I praised him and said I am sure Obama would have loved to have his endorsement.

I predicted this a long time ago-- so you can call me a prophet-- that if Richardson endorsed Clinton the world would hear it 3 times over but if he endorses Obama then he would all of a sudden called FAT and/or INSIGNIFICANT.

Clinton campaign= very predictable.
