mrmemory, I think you've missed something. Clearly, as a precinct captain, this young lady is more involved in politics than the average American. Whether she's spoiled or a brat can't be determined from anything we've seen here. Your cynicism is running rampant.
Throughout American history, men with great ideas were met with opposition. Even, the founding fathers faced dissenters, such as you. Dissenters who remained loyal to Brittan and felt that Hope and Change were foolish ideas of men who had a far-fetched notion of bringing thirteen colonies together to form a Union.
According to dissenters like you, two hundred thirty-two years ago, another "mindless herd" gathered in Philadelphia and started their "empty promises" with a document that began, "We the people, in order to form a more perfect union". Mindless drones following a failed leader would seem to characterize those supporters of Clinton and McCain, not the reflective supporters of Mr. Barack Obama. People with forethought, insight and inspiration are looking toward a new leader with a vision that redefines American politics. "When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another". Again, these are words from forward thinking Americans that forged a new direction which became the foundation of this great Union.
A Clinton victory in Pennsylvania is virtually insignificant since Obama will still have a lead in every relevant category after the Pennsylvania primary. Obama will lead in the popular vote, pledged delegates and number of states won. It's high time that Clinton supporters hopped off that sinking ship. Hillary has ridden Bill's coat-tails for as long as she possibly could and that ride is quickly coming to an end. Following a self-serving political hack that cares more about her own personal legacy than what's best for the Democratic Party or what's best for America at large, is a mistake. In Barack Obama, not only do we get "the strength, guts, experience, and determination to get things accomplished", we get a man of integrity. It is easy to see why young Casey supports Barack Obama. Frankly, it's confusing to see why you don't.
Wow, a spoiled little brat teenager who knows nothing about politics isn't afraid of Clinton's ad! Listening to her drone-like message really makes me want to give up free thought altogether and join with the rest of the mindless herd with their upbeat, feel-good, but absolutely empty messages and promises of unity, togetherness, blah, blah, blah. I don't want us to come together. I want a democratic agenda to be pushed through by someone with the strength, guts, experience, and determination to get things accomplished and to win. Sorry, guys, this little sweetheart cheerleader isn't going to bring Obama victories in all the big states he's lost this November, especially Ohio and I would bet Pennsylvania. It takes more than smiles, jokes, and watered down and insulting notions of a post-racial candidate to win a presidential election.

I am impressed that Casey is endorsing Barak Obama as president. She is obviously very influenced by his oratory and his message of HOPE. , as many of her age group are. I would be much more impressed if she and many of Obama's "followers" were older than 17 years. (I understand that she will be old enough to vote in November) I am not sure that high school students have enough life experience to fully evaluate which candidate would better serve the interests of the U>S>

OBAMA '08!
Well, I'm a lot, lot, lot older than Casey. I've been around for over half a century and I've voted (for a democrat) ever since I was old enough. For the first time in my life in the California primary I voted for someone that I wanted to not for the lesser of two evils. I'm not impressed by simplistic messages but I am impressed that for the first time since I have been old enough to vote I see a candidate that behaves with integrity and tries to appeal to our better natures not to scare us or lie to us.
Way to go Casey that was awesome.

Carolek, carolek, carolek. I am 57 and can assure you that my life experiences have well prepared me to make a mature and intelligent decision and I wholeheartedly support Barack Obama. And I do not stand alone. Are you actually naive enough to believe that simply living longer is the sole source of wisdom and experience. In case you haven't noticed, there are plenty of elderly idiots and many with wisdom beyond their years.

Please remember, Carolek, while it is always possible that new voters (both young and old) bring an enhanced sense of enthusiasm, excitement and optimism into the political arena, THIS IS GOOD! It is also possible that an extraordinary candidate can renew these feelings in experienced voters. This is what Barack Obama has done for me and many, many others.
When I was Casey's age, 18 was 'old enough for fighting, but not for voting' and I was disenfranchised throughout my college years. If 18 had been the voting age then I am pretty confident the draft would have been abolished and the very painful war that was Viet Nam would have come to an end much sooner.
I LOVE THIS COUNTRY...
