Time Magazine:

Spirited Clinton adviser tells the New York Times that New Mexican governor's backing Obama during Holy Week was "appropriate" and "ironic" because it was like Judas selling out Jesus.

"Mr. Richardson's endorsement came right around the anniversary of the day when Judas sold out for 30 pieces of silver, so I think the timing is appropriate, if ironic," Mr. Carville said, referring to Holy Week.

Carville's comments are clear proof that stupidity is an STD.

These Clinton people are a nasty bunch. I've never seen such sour losers.

Richardson's loyalty should be to his country, not to his former political employer. All politicians should remember that point.

Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone.
If your time to you
Is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who
That it's namin'.
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside
And it is ragin'.
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is
Rapidly agin'.
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'.

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin'.
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.

Every few years, we think the times
are a-changin'.

We've been thinking that since about 1781.

And nothing changes.

War time economy folks.
We don't know any other way to run a country.

Never have. Never will.

If Obama is elected, it will be a Jimmy Carter.
4 and out.

He will never be shown the secrets.
And we will once again imagine that the president
actually runs the country.

That's funny.

I think a lot of people said the same thing in 1776. And in 1863. And in 1920.

I choose to believe that times do change. Not as quickly or as fully as we would like, but they do change. We ended one crappy war, we'll end this one. We pulled the US out of a depression, we'll pull out of this--whatever it is.

yeah, Blutus, you better be hoping that you only get four years of this man.... By then, we'll be in deep depression, AND THE NEWS PEOPLE RIGHT NOW ARE APPARENTLY NOT PERMITTED TO SAY THAT WE ARE IN A RECESSION....... There's run-away inflation, and did you know? They don't include the price of gas in the inflation numbers???? Shouldn't a 275% rise in fuel prices be included in the numbers to help or in this case dismantle little Boy George's quote "our long term economical fundamentals are sound"..... He's in MCCAIN land...Maybe he's just referring to McCain's thinking of "100 years in Iraq". Gas ws 1.41 per gallon until the little BUSHWACKER marched his but into Iraq looking for WMD's, then ALQUEDA, then who knows what him and DICK can come up with to look for...... Couldn't finish the job in Afganistan...... Of course you know don't you, that they are probably holding him (OSAMA BIN LAUDEN) in a tank somewhere unbeknown to the American people so about October 1, 2008, they can parade BIN LAUDEN on TV that they've finally captured him! Boy, I bet he's been on ice for quite a while now.....While little BOY George throws away Billions AFTER Billions! While we suffer at home here in America! Sickens me to my stomach, and anyone voting republican this year needs their brain checked. I'll just have to call them "John MCBrainless" supporters.

Bush and his party, do nothing for the working man, middle class BLUE COLLAR WORKER LIKE ME, AND NEITHER WILL AND NEITHER WILL THE H-POST'S CANDIDATE OBAMA.... SO GET READY..... By the way, I AM voting for CLINTON if I have to write her in, or she gets enough ball from BILL and RUNS AS AN INDEPENDENT. Signed: disgusted in Texas at Handyman's Hardware

Judas? Not really. And Sen. Clinton is Jesus?

If Carville want to get technical in his analogy, Richardson is actually more like Peter, who did deny Jesus 3 times ; ) .

Carville calls it the way he sees it. In this case, he's correct, notwithstanding his questionable taste in women. It goes without saying, really, that Richardson isn't the first politician to stab his mentor in the back. Et tu, Brute?

Ah well..........it's a wash.

Hillary and Bill legitimized a great many minority politicians. They contributed greatly in this respect. Hillary is beloved by Latinos. Richardson can't dent that.

Plenty of Latinos would be offended both by your blanket statement about their political affiliations and by the idea that their communities worship Hillary like some Great White Mother figure. Are we done here yet?

Abongo "Roy" Obama who is a Luo activist and a militant Muslim who argues that the black man must "liberate himself from the poisoning influences of European culture." "Abongo's new lifestyle has left him lean and clear-eyed, and at the wedding, he looked so dignified in his black African gown with white trim and matching cap that so many of our guests mistook him for my father,

Obama wrote in his book "Dreams From My Father".

Your "Wright" takes one to know one

Maybe you should read his book.
Also;
Judas is at Obama side and when it over Judas will betray Obama just like he did the Clintons. Richardson want to know what have you done for me lately!!!!!!!!!
When Hillary lose and Obama win the Dem primary put loses the General the snake will see his mistake.

It's people like Carville that have sold out the country by supporting an incompetent, sellout, warmongering Hack like Hillary, even after it has become clear that she is never going to win, can only hurt the party by staying in the race, and is an inferior candidate to Obama in possibly just about every respect. And by the way, he's not like Judas, hes just a run of the mill sellout.

As we have lately known Judas was chosen by Jesus to tell the Romans....Judas was one of His most favorite Apostles. I guess Carville still believes that Madeleine was a prostitute instead of one of her Apostles. Carville should take part of his time to re-educate himself. How unbelievable it is to have people like him without a continuing education.

.

Exactly. Ironic that the tradional Biblical story of Judas is as mythical as Clinton's experience in government.

Well, what a surprise. Another day, another Clinton hypocrisy. One of the things the Clintonistas were making hay over was Reverend Wright's comparing Obama to Jesus. Yet here is one of their own surrogates, making the same comparison in real time (if Richardson is Judas, Hillary by definition is Jesus). Back in 1992, I liked James Carville--I thought he was fiercely partisan, but I thought that the only way we Democrats were ever going to win was to fight fire with fire. Sixteen years later, it's clear we need a new approach, that when we role in the mud with Republicans, and use their tactics, we end up no better than they are. If Bill Richardson is Judas, what's the appropriate Biblical analogy for Bill and Hillary Clinton? Sodom and Gomorrah, perhaps?

Obama will win. The side show of equating a person with his reverend will leave most people continuing to support Obama, since the context of that minister's words is obvious and ministers are understood to often be provocative in exaggerated ways, and since the UCC and the Congregational Churches traditionally cultivate individuals' independent thinking to form responsible opinions, not top-down orthodoxy.

Clinching the victory for Obama will be the Bush Republicans' terrible economy, their repeated disrespect for the constitution, and making sure that everyone sees McCain singing "Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran."

Obama is all about race.

He'll lose in the Fall.

The problems that face us aren't all about race.

Carville could be warning other supers of what will happen if they "jump ship". How much power do the Clintons really have? Can they damage people who vote against them? They wouldn't be above it, but I don't know how many pols would listen to them any more if they lose the primary.

None. The Clinton "machine" was just a fairy tale made up by Obama to demonize her.

That's obvious.

Carville is part of the problem. For those of us who truly want change, Carville represents the Dems version of Karl Rove or more specifically Karl Rove lite. It is all or nothing.

Carville has done the math. He knows she can not win unless something untowards happens.

With Richardson and Dodd's endorsements, other super delegates are probably looking to commit and Carville is trying to staunch the flow.

Time for him and Mary Matalin to join the public sector.

From a very clever and smart indiviual who gave us " Its the economy stupid" this was a STUPID statement. Loyalty has its limits. Richardson went with the best candidate and should be commended for trying to bring an end to what should have ended long ago.
