Us Deaths Pass Four Thousand

The death toll for U.S. solders in Iraq has reached 4000:

The overall U.S. death toll in Iraq rose to 4,000 after four soldiers were killed in a roadside bombing in Baghdad, a grim milestone that is likely to fuel calls for the withdrawal of American forces as the war enters its sixth year.

The American deaths occurred Sunday, the same day rockets and mortars pounded the U.S.-protected Green Zone in Baghdad and a wave of attacks left at least 61 Iraqis dead nationwide.

Watch CNN's veteran Iraq correspondent Michael Ware discuss the grim milestone, moments after the news crossed the wires:

Obama church published Hamas terror manifesto

Compares charter calling for murder of Jews to Declaration of Independence.

JERUSALEM – Sen. Barack Obama's Chicago church reprinted a manifesto by Hamas that defended terrorism as legitimate resistance, refused to recognize the right of Israel to exist and compared the terror group's official charter – which calls for the murder of Jews – to America's Declaration of Independence.

The Hamas piece was published on the "Pastor's Page" of the Trinity United Church of Christ newsletter reserved for Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., whose anti-American, anti-Israel remarks landed Obama in hot water, prompting the presidential candidate to deliver a major race speech earlier this week.

Hamas, responsible for scores of shootings, suicide bombings and rocket launchings against civilian population centers, is listed as a terrorist group by the U.S. State Department.

The revelation follows a recent WND article quoting Israeli security officials who expressed "concern" about Robert Malley, an adviser to Obama who has advocated negotiations with Hamas and providing international assistance to the terrorist group.

In his July 22, 2007, church newsletter, Wright reprinted an article by Mousa Abu Marzook, identified in the publication as a "deputy of the political bureau of Hamas." A photo image of the piece was captured and posted today by the business blog BizzyBlog, which first brought attention to it. The Hamas article was first published by the Los Angeles Times, garnering the newspaper much criticism.

WELL, WELL, WELL..WHAT HAVE WE HERE? THIS FURTHER PROVES WHAT A SHAM OBAMA IS!

I caught this segment yesterday.

It never ceases to amaze me that...there are still the die hards like Martha who clutch and cling to the falsity of "success" re; this criminal enterprise, war for profit. Two visits compared to Ware who has been there from the start of this debacle and she thinks she knows what she's talking about.Michael Ware is the only person on CNN that I listen to and trust.

We always hear about the loss of life on the American side but rarely is it discussed the toll on Iraqi's.It should be spoken of more often as they the people of Iraq have suffered enormously due to this illegal invasion and occupation.

Trying to Democratise the entire Middle East to combat al Qaida is like draining the Gulf of Mexico because you got a bad shark there. By occupying Muslim countries we produce more terrorism, not less. Al Qaida in Iraq isn't bin Ladens' outfit. It came into existence after the invasion. This whole thing is stoopid and wrong people and Rush Limpbaugh bloviating can't make it smart and right.

"4000 US Soldiers Killed In Iraq"

Unfortunately this is a number that Repuglicans celebrate!

To them the only way to honor those 4000 needlessly sacrificed is to needlessly sacrifice more!

"It's only a number." "They're only a number that a few anti-war people are jumping on."
In fact, I've already called my Republican Congresswoman to ask if she still wants to maintain this position. Maybe everyone should make another call to their senators/congressmen today.

One of the more fascinating aspects of the "success" of the surge is its almost cloaked like ability to appear non existent!

ATTENTION ALL DEMOCRATS - Hilary voted for the war and voted to keep funding it. Nancy Pelosi regularly votes to fund the war. DEMOCRATS ARE THE SAME AS REPUBLICANS. All bought and paid for by AIPAC

Contrary to your theory, the Jews aren't running things, which is where your claim leads. Peddling your antisemitic conspiracy theories is pointless.

We are treating them as we have treated ALL veterans and families of veterans. Before people sign up for the military, they need to do some history research. Take a look at the Bataan survivors and how they were treated. Go talk to a homeless Vietnam veteran. These veterans are not being treated any differently than any other American veterans have been.

4,000 is an inaccurate deception. US troops are not more special than other Americans and Iraqis. The death toll is multiple times more than 4,000.

Is AQ our only fundamentalist threat? Are there others? So 19 fundamentalists killed 3,000 Americans and drove the U.S. deeper into a RECESSION. What would one NUKE do to Manhatten? London? Tokyo? How about all three at once? Worldwide economic DEPRESSION.

What does the war in Iraqi Nam have to do with Al Qaida??? Not a damn thing. How does fighting in Iraq prevent 'terrists' from striking at America??? It don't. Is 24 the real world??? Not it aint.

Just for Kool-Aid Blob, whose memory hole extends at least as far back as November 2003:

"Wesley Clark quickly seized this issue and has been hammering Bush with it. Over the weekend, the Clark campaign issued a statement noting that Bush has “refused to attend a single military funeral of any soldier killed in Iraq.” The campaign noted that Carter, Reagan, Bush (Sr.), and Clinton all attended funerals for soldiers who were killed in conflicts under their command.

“Part of being a leader is facing the consequences of your actions, no matter how hard or painful that is,” Clark said. “President Bush owes more to the families of our soldiers. They should not be mourning alone.” "

The last POTUS to attend a military funeral was LBJ, who attended two. They were both officers.
