Clinton's "Sniper Fire" Trip To Bosnia: More Video

Hillary Clinton's 1996 trip to Bosnia is at the center of a dispute over her statements that her plane came under sniper fire. This report by Sharyl Attkisson makes no mention of dangerous conditions.

In an interview published yesterday, Mr Obama acknowledged that Mrs Clinton “has the right to continue to compete”, but added: “She’s just trying to tear me down — and that’s not the kind of politics we’ve been about.”
Although there is no evidence to suggest that Mrs Clinton’s supporters were behind the row about Mr Obama’s pastor — or efforts to hack into his passport records — they are desperate to wreck Mr Obama’s electability before the August convention.

Every time this Bosnia thing is brought up and I see Hillary Clinton's picture getting off the plane, I can't help but thinking, has Obama even been to Bosnia? Articles like this try to make Clinton look bad, because everyone wants to tear down her foreign policy experience, but it does the exact opposite. You're showing her, surrounded by soldiers with guns, walking in a scary background with a smile. She looks like Patton, for heaven's sake. What exactly is the agenda of the Obama camp here? Because Clinton looks like a hero, and Obama looks like he's desperate.

That depends on your bias. If you believe everything she says then having soldiers walk behind you is the same as sniper fire and no greeting ceremony. It doesn't matter if Obama has been to Bosnia, he's not the one lying about something to bolster his claim of experience. Do you just give her a pass on everything? Because to me, this and the NAFTA lies are just that, LIES. They serve no purpose except to deceive the voters.

I don't think Obama had anything to do with this one. She was caught lying with a straight face, and the Washington Post caught her, video and all. Just think, she said there was no welcoming committee because of the danger, and that they had to "duck" and run into vehicles.
Where in the video do you see that? You see her slowly walking out, being greeted by smiling officials, and a little girl (do you think the officials thought that there was sniper fire outside?),
and she did take her own time, being kissed and greeted. Can't you see the disparity in what she said, and what she really did? Just think people like Sinbad and others have disputed her story
The other important point is, watch Chelsea calmly walking beside her...now if there really was any danger, would she expose her daughter to it (that would make her a lousy mother), so the conclusion is Hillary is a liar, being exposed by the media. I'm sorry to say that Hillary does not look like a hero.
She looks like a liar, especially now that her campaign says she "misspoke". That is not misspeaking ,that is an outright lie.
It also shows that she exaggerates and lies about her so called foreign policy experience.
Remember, she exaggerated about bringing peace to Ireland, until someone called it a wee bit silly. So do we see a pattern here?

As is typical, the New York Times had an article with the headline that BOTH Clinton and Obama were stretching their records. They started with one small example of Obama lumping himself into a group of Senators working hard on a bill. Then the paper went on to talk about SEVERAL exaggerations from Hillary.

It's the same old problem of journalists trying to create the impression that they're balanced (by creating an equivalency between the candidates), when, really, these reporters are simply not doing their jobs because they're not reflecting reality accurately.

And listening, listening, listening t the endless rhetoric of her beloved, awful parents. Chelsea deserves an award, a medal recognizing her sacrifices in the arena of American Politics. Or at least a bag of donuts with sprinkles.

Rush Limbaugh (I remember this vividly because it made me extremely angry) insulted Chelsea Clinton when she was what 13? And Rush insulted her -- he did not insult her parents. He insulted her. The poster above did not insult Chelsea Clinton. Instead, as you would know if you read the post, the poster expressed compassion for Chelsea Clinton because of who her parents are. These are very different expressions. Please try and contain your conflation and your hyperbole. As a small backpack nuclear device was detonated from a nearby ravine, Hillary fabricated a makeshift shelter from airplane wing panels she observed leaning against a hangar wall. After the shock waves and heat dissipated, Hillary, still cradling the now crying infant, walked through the radioactive fallout to a nearby RedCross helicopter. Afterwards, Hillary commented "It was the least I could do as a First Lady of the United States of America". "Now, don't we have some wounded soldiers to visit?" She refused first aid, and, still glowing from radiation, strode into a waiting bulletproof limo.
