Jimmy Cayne

From today's New York Post:

Anger has reverberated all week throughout the gloomy Madison Avenue offices, where dethroned chief Jimmy Cayne has walked around with an armed bodyguard.

Starting Monday, when embittered and dazed employees arrived for their first day of work since learning their firm blew up along with the company piggy bank, Cayne's armed hulk of a bodyguard trailed him everywhere and parked himself outside Cayne's office all day, sources said.

Some employees say they're furious at the 74-year-old Cayne for going to bridge tournaments during the week the firm crumbled. Cayne is said to be quietly helping British shareholder, Joe Lewis, drum up another suitor for the firm at a much higher price than Dimon's bargain basement deal as low as $2 a share.

Well, Bush dances while the country is headed for a land fill and people are dying daily in his business venture in Iraq, another failure on his part. But like all CEOs he will live in luxury on all the money pilfered from the treasury and placed in the hands of his cronies in the military-industrial complex. This nation is being Enroned into bankruptcy by malfeasance and misfeasance in all aspects of our economic "downturn".

These CEOs have learned that gambling with other people's money is the only way to gamble.

LOL, but really, I hope all those robber barons on Wall Street never get another good nite's rest, never feel comfortable walking through a mall, or a park. I hope they are forever looking over their shoulder in fear of the ones they screwed. I hope it catches up with them and that they are afraid and that they are made to pay.

Why, oh why do people put their company's stock in their 401Ks? I don't get it. If the company goes down your going to be unemployed and broke.

The Bear Sterns employees shouldn't be angry at Cayne for fiddling around with bridge cards while his company burned to the ground. Instead, they should reserve their anger for themselves, for allowing the thing to take place and not calling the police.

Actually he wasn't even the CEO anymore. He is just a board member who isn't involved in daily operations.

Maybe when all the crooked CEOs have to worry about being physically harmed will some sanity be restored to capitalism. The law apparetnly can't touch these crooks while they loot their companies and then let them collapse, leaving the government to clean up the mess.

Ummm...when laws are being made by Congress the Congress refers back to the companies to whom they have sold themselves for the info they need to write the laws. The laws "protecting" the investor were written by those who wish to fuck the investor just as the labor laws were written by those who wished to do away with labor unions. The capitalism that you are referring to hasn't existed in country probably never did. The laws, the institutions, the courts are all there to protect the interests of those who own it - the corporations.

They don't give a shit about being harmed. They live a life apart; gated communities, private airplanes, etc. They don't exactly mingle.

I mean Cheney's company is moving to Dubai, and the Bush family bought the largest aquifer in the Western Hemisphere (Peru), nice places for them to flee. Jimmy may need an airlift out.

Neither of these two should be allowed to leave the country. As a matter of fact, they should both never see the outside of a prison. You can't create a mess and then expect to walk away---come on, we have a GLOBAL economy...let's get our GLOBAL peeps to help us out a little.

All these people, on his economic level, will have thier own body guards(private army) in the near future. They already live in thier own gated communities.

My feelings are this is the exact mission that Blackwater has been trained for. Protecting the Haves from the Havenots.
