Don't like the tenor of the Democratic contest? Don't look to former President Bill Clinton for consolation.

Speaking to voters in Parkersburg, West Virginia, the 42nd president Wednesday said, "I don't give a riff about all this name-calling that's going on. They've been going on ever since Iowa. I've heard them say all these things about her....

"Let's just saddle up and have an argument," he continued. "What's the matter with that? That's what America's about, right?

You have no credibility Bill....you looked into our eyes and lied. Now your wife does the same dam thing. LIARS....just like the LIAR currently residing there. No difference. No point in saddling up, your hanging yourselves with the LIES.

Sorry, but Bill Clinton is irrelevant, except for the legend he is in his own mind only.

So we have to be forced to listen to your wife's lies, negativity and crying for another ten weeks. Yeah, great.

I used to cringe when Bill Clinton threw out his supposedly supportive statements for HIllary's campaign. It seemed guaranteed that her poll numbers would go down whenever he made one of his controversial remarks. But now that I'm impatient for an Obama nomination, I'm sorry to say I welcome these appearances. They only help to wrap things up.

Bill opens his mouth... Ka-Ching... Obama moves up another point in the polls.

I agree with Mr. Clinton. All this hand wringing is for sissies. We'll have the kumbayah moments at the convention (maybe). But for now suck it up and stop all the whining.

"Saddle up"? I guess there's not a politician alive who can resist a cowboy metaphor.

But you'd think after "bring 'em on," "go git 'em, bushie" and "wanted, dead or alive," the Dems at least could resist that for a while.

Thank you, Bill!

That is what we're about. We call names.

What we don't do......it jail the other guy, kill one another, or torture. (Well, sort of.)

Bill is right.

Let's lighten up. You are Obamamaniacs who drink the kool-aid and I suppose I"m a neo-con who is racist. *haha.

I suppose I could begrudgedly admit.......those are sort of even slams. :)

Bill Clinton made a very telling (though potentially awkward) comment when he said:

"'I don't think any of these people oughta be asked to resign,' said the former president. 'All these guys that say bad things about any other campaign, they say should they resign? My answer is no, they're repeating the party line. They oughta stay right where they are.'"

Should there have been any hint of the possibility that people were speaking out of turn, that has been finally put to rest by her husband. Geraldine Ferraro et al.'s comments are the party line even when Clinton does not speak them herself.

I think any president's legacy is always in the hands of people and historians.

Not for him to try to control.

I can tell you, personally, that he has overcome my own irritation with the "bimbo" factor.

Any former president who agrees to what he's agreed to do for his wife?

Believe me.......he's my new guy hero.
