Lou Dobbs Mocked In Commercial For Hispanic Film "Under The Same Moon"

The Huffington Post has obtained a new commercial for the Fox Searchlight/Weinstein picture, "Under the Same Moon (La Misma Luna)," a Spanish language film that debuted last week to a box office record.

The commercial, which will premiere tomorrow, features several digs at CNN's anti-immigrant crusader Lou Dobbs, such as, "TIME Magazine raves that 'Adrian Alonso could melt Lou Dobbs' heart, if he had one.'"

In an ironic twist, the commercial is set to air on CNN tomorrow in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.

Like Mr. Dobb's commentary or not, disagree with his position on immigration policy or not, one thing that you cannot argue is that he is racist. For those who don't know, Mr. Dobbs has been married to a lovely Mexican-American woman for 25 years...

He (Dobbs) hides behind his wife's ethnicity and then lobs bigoted bombs at people who can't afford an attorney, or a PR firm, to defend them in the public arena. It's the 'blame everyone but yourself' game for lazy Americans who never bothered to take advantage of our educational opportunities. I can't believe most of the morons who watch, listen, and mimic Dobbs's commentaries never figured out that in order to get ahead in America you must educate yourself for the market! Utter morons! You waste away watching football, basketball, Oprah, American Idol, but you never bothered to invest in making yourselves marketable in a new global economy. Figure it out yet? It's no wonder so-called unskilled labor is taking your place.......because the world is passing you by.

Dobbs is no genius, nor is he a hateful klansman, but what he is is misguided. He simplistically blames the problems of a global economy on its lowest players. And that is dangerous because it incites ethnic hostility in a time when both unfortunate Americans (unemployed, homeless, etc..) and immigrants (legal or otherwise) should be helping each other out.

sometimes it's about people and not their freaking documents. and then sometimes it's about media capitalists buying ranches the size of some smaller countries and taking over the american west themselves while they're stirring up fear that that's what the penniless illegal workers are doing. it's dobbs, turner, brokaw, and other rich east coast multimillionaires buying hundreds of thousands of acres that has to be stopped- not immigrants seeking work.
