Obama Nomination

NY Times' The Caucus:

Senator Barack Obama this evening called Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen's proposal of resolving the Democratic nomination contest in June "a good one" - although Mr. Obama seemed to be endorsing a June wrap-up more than the governor's specific plan to let superdelegates caucus to choose either Mr. Obama or Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.

"I think giving whoever the nominee is two or three months to pivot into the general election would be extremely helpful, instead of having this drag up to the convention," Mr. Obama told reporters as he flew from Greensboro, N.C., to New York City.

Obama's shadiness and his johnny come lately style is disgusting and disheartening. Too bad so many in his brigade are tone deaf and just don't get how wrong he truly is.

lol, Obama as the savior, this is just to funny. Could this man be more unethical, and how many more people are going to fall for it. Hopefully the 28% number of HIllary supporters who won't vote for this man will grow, and we won't have to put up with him as president. He and his slimy campaign just get worse and worse.

This will be settled soon enough, Senator Obama. A leader will step forward and take command. Gore/Edwards '08.

What the Clintonistas don't get is that she will not be rewarded by the party for kneecapping OBAMA and destroying him with this Scorched Earth Approach. The nominee for the Democratic Party will be Obama or someone like Gore if this goes to a brokered convention. And it won't be Edwards at the bottom of the ticket. It will be Obama at the bottom of the ticket. He would be leading in all three electoral metrics and this would be done to reconcile with his supporters. The point is there is no nomination for Hillary unless she can win the remaining contests 70 percent to 30 percent. And that is not gonna happen. She can keep it up and we get Obama/somebody or Gore/Obama.

Another Clinton lie exposed. She has been so busy claiming Obama doesn't want a recount. I guess the facts speak for themselves.

    Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 01:44 PM on 03/27/2008

His pattern is to only address something when it looks like it might be detrimental. He has been dragging his feet on the FL and MI re-votes and lo and behold, another epiphany, not unlike his self-serving speech about racism. Hope someone lifts those scales from the eyes of Obama supporters before it is to late.

    Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 02:15 PM on 03/27/2008

No - he has been saying he would support whatever proposal the DNC set forth. In other words, you need to address your issue with Howard Dean - or even better your candidate of choice, since she has flip-flopped so many times on just what she wants with these two states.

What is it you want him to have done? Do you understand the actual process of determining an compromise? It's between the state legislatures and the DNC. Let Howard Dean explain it to you himself:

Actually, the title of this doesn't have any relevance in fact. Where is the story, Where are the facts? Obama does NOT want a revote or any solution other than a 50/50 split. That is only action he can claim he supports, which is undemocratic and cruel and will lose us Florida in the fall if he wins the nomination. He is shooting us all in the foot with his double speak!

Well, so much for the recent troll talking point (yes, this term applies to Clinton supporters now too) about Obama doing everything he can to disenfranchise FL voters!!!

Once again, Clinton and her supporters are making up lies about Obama - when actually the opposite is true. At this point, I'm not surprised anymore. Time to contact the Clinton campaign for a new talking point, guys!

Bill Clinton said:

If a politician doesn't wanna get beat up, he shouldn't run for office. If a football player doesn't want to get tackled or want the risk of an occasional clip he shouldn't put the pads on.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you don't want your star quarterback being repeatedly clipped by your own second string quarterback then get both the Clintons off your team pronto.
Seriously, we are supposed to be on the same Democratic team here. How would a football team react if the second string quarterback tried to injure the first string quarterback just so she could play in the big game.
The Obama camp doesn't want the Florida vote to count. They are the ones blocking the solution. They won't agree on anything and keeps letting deadlines pass. He knows he would lose Florida and Hillary would gain the delegates. This is America. Everyone has the right for their vote to count whether it supports one candidate or the other. Obama claims he wants to change the politicians in Washington. Anyone that would disenfranchise your right to have your vote counted is the biggest politician around. He's only out for his own political gain and not the best interest of the American people.
Neither candidate has the power to "block" anything in FL or MI. It's between the state legislatures and the DNC, as has been explained many times by many people. Here's Howard Dean explaining it - http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=87928836
Obama has said many times that he'll support any solution that both sides agree to.
Put another way, let's say you're right, and Obama is trying to play the whole thing to his political advantage. You'll recall that Hillary has been fighting to get Michigan's delegates seated according to a vote that the state Supreme Court ruled unconstitutional yesterday. So the games are being played on both sides. http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2008/03/26/politics/horserace/entry3971086.shtml
It's fine for you not to support Obama - but jamming your fingers in your ears and ignoring the whole truth isn't a winning strategy.
That is an outright lie. It was the Florida Democrats who decided it was impossible to do the re-vote in time.
Also, all the time that Clinton was screaming bloody murder about voters being disenfranchised, it was CLINTON SURROGATES who were working to prevent the re-votes. The Governor of MI and the head of the Democratic party there were both quietly working behind the scenes to prevent a re-vote because they feared a re-vote would favor Obama.
After the Ohio and Texas primaries, Clinton surrogate, Geraldine Ferraro, went on PBS and claimed that no re-vote in Florida was needed because the unsanctioned, unofficial result was perfectly fair.
Can someone explain this headline? Obama: "Extremely Helpful" To Settle Nomination Soon
Huh?
    Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 12:50 PM on 03/27/2008
Yeah, the headline is a token offering to appear that he is really trying to help, all the while he fears seating those delegates.
    Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 12:53 PM on 03/27/2008
In addition, it is a lose -lose for him. If he seats them he loses. If he disenfranchises them and on the off chance he does get the nomination, he will have alienated those votes and it will come back to bite him. A master plan engineered and calculated in the Clinton Camp.........
Polls in March are interesting as they rarely reflect the actual vote nation wide. Until Labor Day only the true believers of both parties are deeply interested and will not change. Usually it's what happens in the Labor Day to Halloween time frame that determines how 50-60% of the electorate will vote. But these pools to put the food on the table for those doing them, and it gives the rest of us something to makes fools out of ourselves.
And once again, you're placing value on a summary of data based on algorithms which are in turn based on polls taken about a campaign the Democrats haven't entered yet. Makes as much sense as a baseball team claiming victory before the game starts because the other team is late to the stadium.
If you want a real assessment of why Obama's strategy is MORE likely to win the general than Clinton's, read and learn. http://www.rollingstone.com/news/coverstory/19106326
Exactly! If these IDIOTS would include Florida and Michigan, with a MASSIVE 44 electoral votes, the delegate count would look MUCH different.
Obama is a slimy little CHEAT and a LOSER. He's too GUTLESS and FASCISTIC to have fair elections in FL and MI.
no Actually, he was pandering to make it look as though he really wanted those votes to count. He is in a conundrum. If he seats FLA and MICH., he loses. If he does not seat them and then on the off chance he gets the nomination, they won't soon forget his disenfranchisement. Thus, he loses again.
Exactly. he can't even unify the left wing of the Democratic Party. He doesn't even TRY. He and his people are combative and INSULTING. Just like at these repulsive Obama blogs.
The Obama people are too stupid to look beyond the nomination. They will NEED Hillary after the nomination. They will NEED FL and MI after the nomination.
IF the JERK is nominated.
Even tho I'm a lifelong Democrat, I have never been so ABUSED by my own Democratic Party as I have been in this so-called "election". I'm one of those evil-doers from Florida who has to be PUNISHED for some reason. What despicable ASSWIPES!!!
SWINE like that silly ASS How-weird Dean telling 1,700,000 Florida voters that their vote doesn't count?
Actually, I'm getting tired of even bothering to care. The Democratic Party has become so pathetically STUPID that they are going to get clobbered. And personnally, I would rather have McCain in power then all these hateful Obama fascists.
