Somebody forgot to tell Hillary Clinton the Democratic presidential race is over and Barack Obama won.

Obama has captured more state contests, more votes and more of the pledged convention delegates who will help decide which Democrat faces Republican Sen. John McCain in November's presidential election.

PurpleGirl, constant negativity can really harm your own body, not to mention turning off those who I guess you want to impress and recruit. Think about what you are saying. Is it rational?

Pick a number. The number of pledged delegates that Obama leads by at the end of the primaries and yet it is legitimate for the party to nominate Hillary?

Can he be leading by 150 and she have a legitimate nom?

Or can he be at 100 and she still have credibility as the nom?

Or does he need to be down to only 50 delegates? Can she be legitimately nominated then?

Everybody who has posted that it is not yet over. Answer the question.

clinton has so much myopic ambition that she doesn't recognize that if she gets exactly what she wants - rich, predominantly white party insiders overturning the nomination in her favor - she thereafter will not have the support of many of obama's backers, she will lose the election, she will be hated and derided, she will set her party back (by revealing it to be a party controlled rich elitists), and she will cause racial turmoil. such a turn of events may well set off a racial powder keg with rioting, looting, etcetera - which seems alarmist now, but as superdelegate vote time rolls around, the public discourse is going to start becoming more and more racially charged. wait and see: just before the superdelegate vote count is revealed, the black community will be completely focused on the outcome, just like the rodney king and o.j. verdicts, and they will react accordingly.

Wow...

You convinced me then! I'll go ahead and vote for the weaker candidate to prevent the Obama supporters from rioting. That makes perfect sense. Win by threatening to riot.

You people are incredible.

By the way, since when is rioting and looting considered to be "reacting accordingly".

Moron.

How will she ever be able to hold her head up high in the Senate when they return from vacation next week? It should be a c-span pay-for-view: watching the Senators either greet her or avoid her.

Senator Clinton fails to understand America when she says that her scorched earth kitchen sink strategies and the surrogates' responses back and forth are good for America and what America is all about.

No, what America is all about is getting up in the morning and getting your kids off to school and going to work. Hillary's America is about a repetitive pattern of a drama a day and a created reality where it is an America that is all about her and her husband.

The sad thing is that she could have been appointed to the Supreme Court by a President Obama. If she doesn't win the nomination, she'll never be re-elected her NY Senate seat. Guess she can have some more books ghostwritten that'll bring in the $, but her chance at being a graceful leader has passed her by. And the sad thing is that it's all her own fault. Makes one wonder how she and the former President became burdened the self-destructive gene.

Holy sh*t,do you have any clue how racist this post of yours comes across?

The riots that you reference were instigated by particular people, not the entire
black community. Do you really believe that all black people,or even a majority
of the black people who will be voting, are going to be out on the streets rioting and looting
if the candidate that they want isn't nominated? You do a great disservice to the black
community by assuming that they will act as animals.

Yep,it's the conservatives who are the racist ones......not hardly. Liberals treat them as
children who just can't help themselves. Sad and disgusting.

I am beginning to think Bill and Hillary are delusional! They have lost...period and frankly they deserve to lose! And, to think I once respected the Clinton's.

McCain won't have a chance in a million of winning once Iraq and the economy totally collapses later this year! Wait and see...

Go Obama! He shall prevail....

There are more women posting on this blog than men. The fact that yo-u can't figure it out, is not our problem. There are just as many women protesting Hillary than men. It's not a battle of the genders.

Is it all about hostile men? Really?

Is this nomination process as simple as boys versus girls?

Are you saying that if Hilary were a man that her campaign wouldn't be in trouble?

I know that there are plenty of folks around here who can only grunt out standard internet hate that passes as barbed wit...however, in this case, there are legitimate criticisms of how the Clinton campaign has carried itself throughout the campaign.

Both sides have had bad gaffes...both sides have been unfairly framed by the media at one time or another...and both sides have some unseemly skeletons in their respective closets.

However, after hearing Obama's pretty darn amazing speech about race, politics, and the level of discourse our nation should be engaged in...well, it's a little galling to some of us to watch Senator Clinton and many in the media do exactly what his speech warned us about. It smacks of desperation and the exact style of old school politicking that many are very tired of.

Additionally, Senator Clinton criticizing anyone about the religious company they keep seems a little disingenuous considering her relationship with "the family".

You know what is funny? they think that we are the deluded ones. Hillary promoted and even believed her own hubris that she was a she-in, headed for a corronation. She spent like a President and funded a media contingent comparable to a presidential press corp. She never even bothered to plan beyond Feb 5. She tailored her fundraising to big hitters, getting the maximum she could. She even had the arrogance to ignore some states. Then Senator Obama brilliantly pieced her balloon, leting out all the air. Now she raves lijke ike a rabid dog, out to bite anyone. She was beaten in every area that mattered, including planning and execution! She failed the test. Go Obama.

'N Sync - Bye Bye Bye

(Hey, Hey)
Bye, Bye, Bye
Bye, Bye...
Bye, Bye...
Oh, Oh..

I'm doin' this tonight,
You're probably gonna start a fight.
I know this can't be right.
Hey baby come on,
I loved you endlessly,
When you weren't there for me.
So now it's time to leave and make it alone
I know that I can't take no more
It ain't no lie
I wanna see you out that door
Baby, bye, bye, bye...

Bye Bye
Don't wanna be a fool for you
Just another player in your game for two
You may hate me but it ain't no lie,
Baby, bye, bye, bye...
Bye Bye
Don't really wanna make it tough,
I just wanna tell you that I had enough.
It might sound crazy,
But it ain't no lie,
Baby, bye, bye, bye

The only way Hillary can win the nomination is by convincing the super delegates that she is the better choice, that is to tell the super delegates to go against the will of the majority of the people. I do not know what you'd call that, but I know it is not called "democracy".

Assuming this ends with Obama having better than 100 more pledged than she does. Is it ok to give her the nom? And how is that democratic, which you are so whipped up about?

You know, Romney dropped out before Ole' Johnny 'clinched' the GOP nomination. Why? Well, who really knows, or cares. For better or worse (the former btw) he had the sense to know it was over.

It's official: Hillary Clinton has been been outclassed by Mitt Romney. That 's gotta sting.

Clinton Can Not Win; She Will Always Be Behind In The Delegate Count No Matter What. She has Highest Negatives Which Are Higher Than Her Positives. They Are Only Getting Worse, So He "Only Chance" Is The Super Delegates Period ! Which Would Be Pathetic Is They Over Turn The Votes Of The People.

Hmmm... yes, well this is exactly the kind of attitude (just read on through these comments ... ) that will lose the election for the democrats in the fall. Those of us who support Hillary and have been subjected to misogynist comments like the above and any number of irrational Hillary-hating vitriol are not going to be so inclined to support Obama in the fall. Yes, I will vote for him if I have to, but don't expect us - and I mean the working backbone of the Democratic party (you know who we are) to stick around ...... and as everyone knows, we are the ones who will work our you know what's off in the background unlike the fickle young slackers who coat this post with bile. Not a party I will want to be in.

Clinton's "me, me, me" attitude is exactly why people will vote for McCain if she's the democratic nominee. It's her choice, step down or give it to McCain. That woman would be a total disaster if she somehow won the US presidency.

What Hillary hasn't yet realized is that the Democratic party CAN'T allow this to continue. The trend of disaffected Democratic voters is growing, and it will continue to as long as there is negative campaigning within the ranks. This is too big a problem for them to ignore, and it threatens their survival instincts, which is the one thing they truly understand.

Hillary cannot win without the superdelegates, she is unwilling to campaign in a manner that promotes party unity, and the only possible result of continuing is a disaster that the DNC will take any measure to avoid.

So, what do we do, folks?
