During a recent interview, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) called Sens. John McCain (R-AZ) and Joe Lieberman (I-CT) "something special," recounting their recent trip abroad. He also claimed that people around the world view McCain as a "reassuring" presence, but later admitted that no one had a "McCain sticker" on their desk:

GRAHAM: Senator Lieberman, I think, is a national treasure, because no matter how you feel about his politics, he was willing to risk everything, politically, for a cause he believed in. But to see the interaction between these two guys and world leaders was something special. [...]

He'll definitely be in the Cabinet (probably as Secretary of State). But McCain needs someone to shore up the right-wing religious zealots that were GWB's base.

Much as they believe in supporting Israel unilaterally (getting ready for the rapture), I don't think that's enough of a reason for them to want Lieberman as the next in line to a guy who's 72 years old and not in very good health.

I'm sure that Larry Craig could commandeer a mountain in Idaho upon which his face and this motley trio's could be carved. Mount Rushmore from Hell.

I'd like to say that four more depraved and reprehensible plutocrats could not be imagined, but actually there's plenty more under the Republic Party rock.

Lieberman is an embarrassment to the nation, to me as a Jew, and to someone who says he has the best interests of Israel at heart which he does not ... he is nothing but a neo-liberal pig ... and pig is the operative word cause Lieberman walking around and hanging with Graham sure is not Kosher ...

Preemptive wars, torture, and spying on your citizens is not a treasure in the U.S.A.

I'm sure he was referring to the devaluation of the dollar. That is to say, Liberman is as worthless as our dollar is becoming.

Then let's stuff him, stick him in the Smithsonian for his admirers to genuflect before and move on.

I have not seen one McCain bumper sticker either!
But I see alot of Obama's and a few Hillary's.
And Graham and Joey are both sucking up to McCain for the VP job so look at what they both say about each other with a 'jaundiced eye'.

"because no matter how you feel about his politics, he was willing to risk everything, politically, for a cause he believed in."

Same could be said for Pol Pot, Mussolini, Hitler, Bin Ladin, Saddam Hussein, Stalin, Franco. You notice how in all these examples 'risk everything' primarily meant sacrificing the lives of others. Nice company Lieberman's in, eh?
