Vegan Strippers: Hot Or Not?

Two things that you can find a lot of in Portland, Ore., are vegans and strip clubs. Johnny Diablo decided to open a business to combine both. At his Casa Diablo Gentlemen's Club, soy protein replaces beef in the tacos and chimichangas; the dancers wear pleather, not leather. Many are vegans or vegetarians themselves.

But Portland is also home to a lot of young feminists, and some are not happy with Mr. Diablo's venture. Since he opened the strip club last month, their complaints have been "all over the Internet," he said. "One of them came in here once. I could tell she had an attitude right when she came in. She was all hostile."

Hi everyone, I am a long time reader of Huff Post, but this is my first post.

I live in Portland, and actually know the young lady in the photo fairly well. I just thought that I'd post to give you a little information about her.

She is one of the nicest persons that I know. She has been stripping for a number of years (she is in her late 20s) here in the Portland area. She has been diligently working her way through college graduating with her bachelor's a few years ago and is now close to completing her Master's degree.

Oh and BTW, regarding one other comment, she is 100% all natural, and 100% gorgeous.

Being a vegetarian - but not a vegan - I can assure you that stripping for either is not hot - in fact, most of us are relatively lacking insulination (also known as adipose tissue) - so stripping ends up as a rather chilly affair.

If you like the combination of the two, o.k. fine. The market will bare out whether this will work or no. Myself, I enjoy meat, but will not begruge others their right to live their life according to their whims. I do object to those who seek to impose their beliefs on others, no matter what those beliefs may be. I think I would rather be a vagin than a vegan.

AUTHENTIC religious teachings (of all faiths) come from the Lord and He does not condone subjugating others and maintaining/ encouraging/ enforcing ignorance and as to how other cultures dress? ... i don't accept it but can YOU accept that for MANY they CHOOSE to cover out of culture/ modesty (though mistakingly attributing a specific dress "code" to religion)

i guess you have no recollection of women in this country being considered "property" as recently as just over 100 yrs ago -- hence women taking on their husbands' family name after marriage as a lingering practice (a phenomenon not normally seen in arab countries - whether they are muslim OR christian newlyweds)

please try to distinguish between behavior practiced out of cultural "convention," individuals' perceived religious obligations, what the faiths authentically teach by their respective texts, and what people actually DO -- all can be very different from each other (just look at the evil moron in the WH as a self proclaimed born again -- i don't believe Jesus would have chosen to bomb anyone) -- no one can claim hiroshima was bombed by any TRUE christian who really knew what The Word was

There are a lot of vegans where I live, too. Some are way natural, with natural hairiness, etc. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Others are definitely hot, though. They are more likely to be slim, for one thing. As far as protests, it doesn't matter what the strippers eat. The protests are the same.
