The more I hear him, the more I like him.

Pastor Wright printed bulletins on the church's Pastor Page that calls The Jewish People worse than Hitler's Nazi party! (What, Obama didn't know anything about this as well?)

YOU CAN'T JUST MAKE EXCUSES FOR RACIST HATRED LIKE THIS! IT'S DISGRACEFUL!

Did you make this up yourself, or did you get it in an email? It certainly ain't true!

I hope you are petitioning to have the Los Angeles Times taken out of print -- because to what you are referring first ran in the Los Angeles Times. I hope you have also looked at the Church Bulletin which included opinion pieces from many newspapers around the Country and opinions from Israelis and Hamas and opinions from Desmond Tutu. Seems to me like the Reverend was trying to expose his congregation from ideas from a multitude of sources -- just like the Los Angeles Times does. By the way, if you want to start a war against the Los Angeles Times, count me out. I like my local newspaper quite a lot.

It was disgusting to see Obama having to share the couch with that blond bitch. At least she was at the end, far away from him. I no longer watch The View because I can't stand looking at her ugly face and hearing her ignorance.

I find it strange for Obama to say "If Pastor Wright hadn't retired I wouldn't feel comfortable staying at the church" the reverend said those comments long ago, and even Obama admits hearing things that he felt uneasy about in the past...and then added the old uncle thing. My question is he didn't really decide to quit the church or say something to the reverend until it might mess up his presidential race....and that seems like pandering to the public for his convenience

I agree. I am beginning to really wonder about his...campaign skills at this point. Perhaps Sen. Obama thinks no one watches The View but this new remark is everywhere like it is a stunning new revelation. Why can't he just refuse to address the question or say "I have said everything I need to say on the issue." Instead--just when one thinks the issue is going away---he contributes to the drip drip drip throwing his enemies yet another piece of meat.

Originally Sen. Obama looked like a principled Christian man who disagreed with his brother in Christ but still loves him The more he says about this the less Christ-like his comments seem to be. Stand with him or disown him. Don't stand with him on one day only to distance yourself so much every day to make your original statement appear disingenuous at best.

Have you even watched the entire sermons or just the 30 seconds being played on the lazy MSM? Go to youtube and watch- see the sermons in context then comment. You can find the other sermons there as well.

'Stand with him or disown him." The choices don't have to be that black or white- shades of gray are an option.

I'm wondering about his campaign skills too and I have decided they're better than I had imagined. What other candidate could bounce back from the distortive Wright flap? What other candidate could take on the biggest and most ruthless political machine and win against them without resorting to their tactics?

Trinidad707, would you have him make no response to it once the media filled the airwaves with their little remix? I really don't think there was any choice to be made there, it was a position he was put in.

I can't believe how ready people are to accept that a shock-remix of sound-bytes of one pastor in his last year actually represents an entire church organization, one which the Clintons themselves have praised in the past. We need some media literacy in this country.

EdwardTx, this is not a "stunning new revelation". He had originally stated that he did not make an issue of it before the videos leaked because Rev Wright was on the verge of retiring. Now he says that if Rev Wright had not retired, he would not have felt comfortable staying. I see this new statement as consistently stating the same sentiment. It does not conflict whatsoever with his message in his Philadelphia speech that he refutes Rev Wrigtht's outbursts but not the man himself or the church.

I too have a white mother and black father. Ironically, my mother is also racist. She believes blacks are inferior to whites. Should I disown my mother for ignorant, divisive things she told me, or because I don't want my children exposed to her ignorance?

On the contrary, I love my mother very much for the positive things she gave me. I would not throw her away because of this point of ignorance i n her. (Sound familiar?)

I'm grateful for the experience of her ignorance. I have turned it around and shown my children what not to do in their treatment of others.

We live in a society of intolerance, divorces, wars, and hate. Until we look within, speak our truth carefully, treat our relationships with respect and tolerance, use war as a last resort and start loving ourselves, we will continue to tear our world up.

Walking our talk, living with integrity and being an example, is the greatest gift we can give to ourselves and humanity. Will we wallow in our fears and continue down the dark path we're now entrenched on? Obama has a way out.

Each action we take shows what we are about, including how we communicate with others on blogs, in forums and places where no one knows our true identity but us. Then again, our writings indicate to the world who we are...and the mirror doesn't lie.

It's dismaying to see so many attacking Senator Obama. The vast majority of us can only judge on the basis of appearance and public pronouncements, with some intelligent research undertaken in private.

I'm not in love with Senator Obama but I do want him to be the nominee for the simple reason that he is by far the superior candidate and has behaved with grace and dignity. I tend to agree with his policy positions also. I don't wish Senator Clinton ill but she's not impressed me in the last several months.

The Pastor Wright business has been taken out of context and blown out of all proportion. It's discouraging to read all this jazz about how Obama "sat in the pews for 20 years." Who the hell sits in a pew for 20 years? It's not as though the man didn't have a life and a career to attend to.

Don't vote for or support the candidate if he's not your cup of tea. But attacking the man on the basis of childish assumptions and twisted perceptions is silly. He is who is and has been pretty straightforward about it. I detect in him an effort to be as honest as possible -- under the circumstances. And, truly, I think I would like and respect him even more were he in a position to truly bust out and tell us how he really feels on a number of fronts. Unfortunately, he doesn't have that luxury.

What's up with Oprah, she still won't let anyone on her show, think of the audience a candidate will reach. You can go on any show you wish, so long as it's not Oprah.

Not likely that Elizabeth has had some sort of epiphany. It's more likely she was wondering about who designed Obama's tie.

She was just trying, more than likely, to find fault in anything he said. She has no believability to me at all. It seems as though she was handed republican talking points before the show started. I don't care what she thinks. I care what I think and I base my judgments on my own research not a bimbo's revelations real or otherwise.

Right Elizabeth the right wing Republican is going to vote for Obama now, because Barbara Walters thinks he is a stud muffin.

"Pammy1151" I can't help but notice your wonderful comments here.

I met him yesterday in NYC on fundrasing luncheon and shook his hend too. TV doesn't do him any justice , he is much better looking in real life .

But looks aside , he is brilliant, he is presidential and guess what I was sitting between two men who turned out to be republicans. I asked them why they liked him and both of them almost simultaneously said one word - INTEGRITY.

I'm so glad you see it too and have chosen the winner!

Yes, my husband is an independent who says he likes Obama because of his character. He said that Obama was honest and didn't try to double-speak. He was taken a little aback by the whole Wright controversy, but after hearing his race speech and watching a couple of Wright's sermons on YouTube, he was back on the Obama train...............Choo Choo!!!!

I saw his speech in 2004 and immediately picked up the phone and called a friend and said that he would be the "first" black president. I didn't think it would happen this fast. I am thrilled that it has. He is brilliant and yes has integrity. He has not been around long enough to have been corrupted by Washington. Looks like a winner to me.

Well, I guess Hillary can't compare with his hotness. You know she just doesn't have that same affect on voters, like wanting to rip your panties off at rallies, and getting breathless.

COme on. She is only smarter than him and more experienced. But as far as being hottie, I mean she just can't compare and what after all is more important.

A President you want to boff, or a President that can actually serve his or her country.

Let me think.

Chelsea and Hillary can't have it both ways. They can't say that Hillary staying with her cheating husband is no one's business...but the church someone worships in is everyone's business.

To use Hillary's argument...she had a choice too...she could have left the cheating fool but did not.
