Well Whoopie came out for Hillary...if you notice the first shot of Whoopie on this edited tape has her top leg crossed away from him when the whole interview starts ---Babara, Joy, Sherry and Elizabeth all have their top leg crossed toward him...a psychologist once talked about body language, (This is just based on the clip)but the last shot of her on the clip, she finally has her top leg crossed toward him... I think Whoopie is part of that Gloria Steinem Feminist track and so she was ready not to like him...I think he changed her mind. Cokie Roberts on the George Stephanopoulos show called Obama "a cute guy" in attempt to dismiss him and now Barabara tells him he's sexy... these women are so funny...hate him...love him...he is our next president!

Obama says he would have left the church if Rev Wright had not retired. One problem with that statement. Obama says he found out about these statements of Wright's over a year ago just prior to announcing his run for president. Rev Wright JUST RETIRED. So, Obama stayed in the church for over a year after finding out about these statements.

I guess what Obama meant was he would have left the church if Wright wasn't going to reitre after WE ALL SAW THE CLIPS.

I heard also that Obama is now saying that Rev Wright has said he now knows his statements were wrong. Has anyone actually seen any report of Rev Wright saying this?

I don't think his statement was wrong. He has every right to feel as he does. Although he was speaking about what this other man had said. But either way it was the truth. He would know considering all the abuse and humiliation that thoes of his generation went through. I was borned in 1964 so I don't remember having to sit on the back of the bus or not being allow to eat where whites eat or having to drink from different water fountains and a lot bullshit rules blacks had to follow or risk being lynched. But my parents remember that and much more. So if they think American is a racist country why is that a problem. People shouldn't have a problem with the truth.

Seriously. The Constitution gives freedom of speech and a couple of little snippets clearly don't do Wright's message justice at all. Trinity Church is not about hating.

Even the pastor of Clinton's church (Dean Snyder) has praised Reverend Wright. And many have pointed out that Wright was quoting a (white) U.S. ambassador in some of his comments.

Plus, even the Hillary supporters who are desperately trying to turn this into a Big Deal don't think that Wright's most negative views reflect what Obama thinks or feels. His life is pretty consistently and straightforwardly about a positive message of bringing people together for a common good.

Wright's sermons are a complete non-issue.

Sen. Obama asserted that had Wright himself not denounced the statements (which he has not) and weren't retiring (which he has) that he would have considered leaving the church. Well, Jeremiah Wright retired making it unnecessary for Obama to reconsider his church membership.

except if you follow the timeline Obama said he found out about these statements of Wright's over a year ago just prior to launching his presidential bid. And he said he decided to stay in the church at that time (over a year ago) because Wright was "on the verge" of retirement. That's all good, except that Wright's retirement was over a year away. I don't think "on the verge" accurately describes an event that is more than a year away.

I think it is so important for Americans to be able to say they love our country, even with all it's flaws. They are there, and we should work towards fixing them. But just because you acknowledge that doesn't mean that you don't believe in American deep down in your soul.

I think Obama is a true patriot. He is a self made man that work hard to make life better for people. He went straight to the impoverished after college, and then went on to learn as much as he could about our country by studying the Constitution. 6 Supreme Court Justices have been on the Harvard Law Review, and Obama was President of that distinguished group. All of his actions show just how much he loves America, and how hard he will work to find REAL SOLUTIONS.
