Thinkprogress.org:

Former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman (D) was released from prison today so he can testify to the House Judiciary Committee about the controversial prosecution that led to his incarceration. In an interview shortly after his release, Siegelman singled out former White House aide Karl Rove's involvement in his case:

In a telephone interview shortly after he walked out of a federal prison in Oakdale, La., Mr. Siegelman said there had been "abuse of power" in his case, and repeatedly cited the influence of Karl Rove, the former White House political director.

I can't stand the suspense. Who wouldn't pardon him? I have to know which one!

Frogmarch him to his cell. But Chimp in Chief will just pardon him anyway.

He needs to be tried for treason. His stated aim was to create a permanent Republican majority.

1. Use the Justice Dept. to intimidate/derail opposition candidates.

2. Use the Intelligence Services to spy on Citizens (FISA - it's not just for terrorists anymore) If they are willing to use DoJ to persecute opposition what in the world would make you think that they would not use a eavesdrop blank check. Just ask Spitzer - NSA got the drop on him, the rest is just smoke and mirrors. They have computers that can cross reference Tel #'s, CC#'s etc. with targeted individuals in fractions of a sec. It's like a Google search - just type in Democratic Party, Hookers, Dope etc. and wait to see what pops up.

3. Stack the Judiciary to rubber stamp your agenda (Where do you think Musharraf learned that move?)

Take over the world HA HA HA HA.

Good luck they will have to have a supermajority, house senate, WH, and they cannot touch KR until after bush is out of office.

yes but thats the point. by the time all of this comes out the chimp will already be out of office. :) i used to be SO angry at the foot-dragging but after the libby trial i am happy to wait until law and order (or at least some semblence of it) comes back to our country.

rove and the rest cant stand up to ANY real scrutiny and after the 08 elections, they arent going to have the old cover they used to.

I hope the Democrats in Congress take a loooong, thorough look at this case. Karl Rove needs to go to jail, but not until Bush's term ends. We don't want him walking free like Scooter Libby.
