It's really quite a shame that Bill replaces the word "shit" with "shiite." It really doesn't get much more insulting than that. If anyone had said something like that about his religion - Judaism - he/she would have been forced to quit like no one's business.
He wouldn't care what somoene said about Judaism because he's not Jewish. Bill Maher is against all religion. Think before you speak.
I never said he was Jewish. You wrongly assumed that. Why don't you think before you speak.
And last but not least, the main point of the comment stands.

Bill Maher - My family was such a big fan of your show - what happened??? If we ever watched TV one night of the week, it was your show on HBO, if we are on a travel we are sure to catch it on-demand, your off season seemed like eternity and we can't wait for your show to be back on air.
What happened? Politics. We all have candidates that we feel so passionate about and know how much you love Obama - Fine. Should the rest of your audience have to endure and suffer while you tear down his opponent Hillary on your show?
While viewership is a choice, I"m not sure that HBO and yourself will be thrilled at the rate that your audience are now dissing your show.
For the 1st time in many years, I now find myself channel surfing at 11:00pm on a Friday night.
The direction of your show has taken a different turn that is non characteristic of what tuned us to you. Although, how sad, every good thing has to come to an end eventually.
Why are the half comedy/half talk shows such as the Daily Show, the Colbert Report, Real Time and Countdown providing more accurate portrayals of what is occurring in Iraq than the mainstream media? Our mainstream media is the joke and the comedies have become the real news.
Good that somebody has the balls to continue to tell it like it is - even as Bush and the MSM continues to lie about the surge working ...

Nice monologue, take a few easy shots at our criminal in chief, and perpetuate the stereotype of Iraqis being animals who just want to kill each other.
This "humor" is cold and callous given the atrocities being committed every day by our troops on their civilians. Wrapping it in a few shots at Bush doesn't change that.

Bill Maher lost all my respect when he constantly felt the need to bring up Monica Lewinsky.
But if you recall, what he said was, It was Good under Bill, and if that's part of the successful formula, give him more.
Sure. But, I was referring to him bringing up Monica Lewinsky last night as a way to poke fun at Hillary. I always cringe when I hear stuff like that because it makes it sound like he's saying, "It doesn't matter what you achieve or how far you go, you will still be defined as the Wronged Wife."

As Jimmy Carter said, "Life isn't fair.", [or mediocre-life sucks]. Some people have all of the luck. The USA has had luck since 1/20/01-miserably[sp] bad luck. W has followed his rainbow to its end but he didn't get the pot of gold or any pot either. Rumor has it that Laura bought pot for her soririty[sp]. W should have sent Laura to get the pot & the gold in the pot at the end of the rainbow.

Bush thinks that he has purchased some of the Iraqi people and now plans to intimidated the remainder into submission. What a fool this man is, how little he understands the Arab mentality, how little he understands freedom. He fails to realise his troops are surrounded in much the same way as General George Custer, Iraq may well prove to be George Ws' Little Big Horn!

I have watched the program 2x. What struck me was the blatant arrogance of Rumsfeld. Not an ounce of humility or thoughtfulness about the serious situation that he helped get us into. And now that he has obviously been proven wrong on so many counts one wonders if the man is able to walk about in daylight without being openly ridiculed. Folks we definitely had the B team at the helm during the last 7 years.
I watched it. I kept sating to myself ...These are the idiots that are ruining (oops running) our country???
The President needs to be shamed by the American people. He continues to perpetrate self-serving assessments of the situation in Iraq that are so clearly out in left field. And yet we go about our daily lives as if having a lying jackass for President is acceptable. It makes me sad.
Bill Maher, great guy- I wish he was the President of the US. We would be much much better off.
