Joe Lieberman Likens John McCain To JFK

Sen. Joseph Lieberman, I-Connecticut, compared presumptive Republican nominee John McCain to a surprising figure on Sunday -- Democratic icon John F. Kennedy.

"I'm a Democrat who came to the party in the era of President John F. Kennedy," Lieberman told George Stephanopoulos on ABC's "This Week. "It's a strange turn of the road when I find among the candidates running this year that the one, in my opinion, closest to the Kennedy legacy, the John F. Kennedy legacy, is John S. McCain."

I wonder how the people of CT feel today about sending Lieberman back to the US Senate?

Frankly, I don't see a bone in old John McCain's body that in any way resembles JFK. Plus, Lieberman is wrong on Obama because Obama has been very outspoken about going after bin Laden, wherever actionable intelligence places him at the time. Maybe McCain needs to whisper in his ear to correct his "misstatements".

How do I feel? sick. I tried to get rid of him, and supported Lamont. But the republicans in our state voted for him by 70% of their vote, another fraction of independants and some blue collar Dems that didn't understand his voting record against their interests.

Being from the New London, CT area I was pleased to see our local paper, The New London Day, apologize to its readers for endorsing that specially bred, polyp eating rat, Joe Lieberman a week or so ago.
