President Bush Booed At Baseball Game

Huffington Post   First Posted: 07/29/08 05:03 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 01:30 PM ET

Bush Throwing

President Bush threw out the ceremonial first pitch tonight at the Washington Nationals season opener and the inaugural game at Washington's National Ballpark. But the President — an avid baseball fan and the former owner of the Texas Rangers — probably didn't get the fan response he was hoping for, as he was largely booed by the 41,000-person sellout crowd as he walked out to throw the pitch.

Airedale Terrier Puppies World War hero!!
Utah, UT 84096 - Mar 31, 2008
AKC Registered Puppies for sale!!!!!
The Airedale Terrier was one of the original police dogs, hailing from Yorkshire, England and finding work primarily in the United Kingdom and Germany.Ă‚ Its duties included messaging, hunting, and of course, pest control.
This breed is the largest of the terriers, often nicknamed “King of Terriers”, and has a distinctive black and tan coat and a very odd shaped head. The dog appears to be lunging forward because of its erect front legs and bent rear disposition.
During World War I, the Airedale Terrier was used extensively to carry messages behind enemy lines, as well as attend to wounded soldiers on the battlefield.Ă‚ Ă‚ They were said to carry out their duties despite being injured themselves, a truly honorable achievement.
The temperament of the Airedale Terrier is rather social, and good natured.Ă‚ They are said to be well-behaved, even with children.

Some guy earlier claims that there were just as many cheering Bush as were Booing him. This was his version after watching the event on Fox News. Well, if that was the case, tell me this: Why did GWB have as sour a look on his face that I have ever seen him have! Had he heard more Cheers, he would've been smiling and lapping it up! It was clear to anyone watching it anywhere that he was "Not Pleased!"

That make any sense? (Not to you Trolls, I mean regular Americans watching here.)

The ONLY reason Americans 'BOOED' BUSHin public is because
IT WAS OUR ONLY CHANCE!

Every other BUSHCO event is STAGED and SURROUNDED by corporate fascist elitists who sit there with eyes glazed over NOT believing that the idiot ruined their STOCK MARKET in the process , too!

well, not sure booing was an appropriate thing to do, but this guy has botched up things so badly, I guess what else can be said? So I'll add my own "BOO" to the chorus.

(frankly, fed up with the nonsense that somehow or other , no matter what, dissing the PRESIDENT is supposedly bad form/manners...SOrry, part of how this character was allowed to roll on and on and over so much was that few bothered to speak up and tell it like it really was and state so factually consequently, we've ALL paid a price far too high and that none deserved to bear !!! This particular CIC never has allowed OPPOSING opinions and but gave mouth service to saying he would listen to others but always did inform us that HE WOULD DECIDE and decide he has and with little vocalized pposition heard cuz , gee, we get reminded bad form when at war...HEY FOLKS< THIS CIC STARTED THE WAR THAT IS CAUSING THE PROBLEMS and made us far LESS secure now whether you can handle the truth or not, well it shows more than these days more are not only able but ready to do so and assign the proper accountability even if OUR ELECTED REPS CONTINUE TO FAIL TO DO SO OR REPRESENT OUR TRUE OPINONS !!!!

Glancing through a few of the comments tells one that some of Bush's opposition is juvenile, either in fact or in attitude.
When I read the headline, I thought it was unfortunate that the president was booed. It's just a baseball game and presumably there ought to be some events in life where politics can be put aside. But watching the video, it's obvious that as many people were applauding and cheering.
All that aside, President Bush certainly threw the ball with much grace under pressure. He wasn't letting the booing affect his pitch at all. I'm kind of surprised they didn't sign him to the team right there.
If we have an Obama administration, I guess at least we won't have to listen to booing at baseball games. Perhaps chants of "O-ba-ma" -- though one hopes not -- but certainly no booing.
It's the "left" wingers that like to protest things. Conservatives count among the traditional values they hold dear that of being polite in social settings. So they won't boo no matter whether they like or dislike an Obama presidency.
Bush has a mixed report card among those who voted for him (like me). But I'll give him credit for not letting public opinion affect his decision making -- or his baseball pitch.

That's wonderful that Bush doesn't listen to public opinion. Considering he turned a surplus into a record deficit, an economic boom into a recession, let those responsible for 9/11 slip away, and start an unnecessary and horribly costly war, it's wonderful that his intellect is so static and infantile that he continuously disregards the will of the people. I can only imagine the contempt he has for the average citizen.

Regarding conservative politeness.... $40 million spent on the Star Report.... Thanks. The country really needed that.

I think the best response from the American Public at this event would have been "Dead Silence", rather than booing and cheering. That would have said it all.

Yeah, like Bush actually gives a rat's ass. He hasn't lost a minute sleep over the deaths of over a million people-including over 4,000 of our troops- you really think a few thousand boos at a ballgame is gonna dent that ego

Wow! He wanted to be commissioner of Baseball more than President, so that has got to smart. On the other hand, I'm thrilled that he's having to suffer a bit, since he's been the cause of so much suffering himself. He should really be ashamed to show his face in public, and maybe now he's starting to realize that people despise him for his actions the last 8 years.
