Harold M. Ickes never forgets a favor, especially if he's the one who did the favor. So the veteran political operative made sure that, when the time was right, he alone would call Garry Shay, former chairman of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party. As Ickes saw it, he had helped Shay; now he was looking for Shay to help him.

And once Ickes started calling, he didn't stop until Shay said the words Ickes wanted to hear -- that he would support Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York at the Democratic National Convention in Denver in August.

Is there any surprise why she has hardly received a super delegate since before the campaign season even started? Ickes' style is ugly and people don't want to do business with him, or Hillary. The days of Clinton arm twisting and intimidation are slowly going away. These super delegates are people too, and, as Hillary looks weaker and weaker, look for more super delegates to abandon her. That style of political hardball, that Ickes plays, only works when people fear you and when people have to deal with you. When you're losing it's hard for that strategy to be effective - just look at her extremely meager super delegate gains since Super Tuesday.

The mafia-style of manipulation that Ickes prides himself with may work with superdelegates and voters who seem to be ok with living like it's 1992. But for those of us who want to see the country move forward - I am confident that we will be supporting Barack Obama.

Without knowing it, all of us trusting souls are busily watching a complex system of "Manufactured Polls!" Don't any of you here believe that it is possible to write a script that maps out a theoretical "race" between two candidates without the knowledge of one of them, or even BOTH of Them? Why is it so hard to imagine that if HRC manages to get to the convention, some 'mysterious forces' could actually hand her the nomination? So, all she would have to do it GET THERE! Or, are we ALL forgetting one of life's most dependable maxims: "What Can Happen, WILL Happen!"

Another thing: Who actually believes that throughout recent Presidential History the "Actual Vote" is somehow "Miraculously" split solidly "Down the Middle" and ends up being decided by OBSCENELY AND IMPOSSIBLY SLIMMEST OF MARGINS!!! A few Thousand Votes!! Out of HOW MANY MILLIONS?? Grandly Impossible, My Fellow American FOOLS! A George W. Bush goes into election day, and his "Base" is only in the Thirty Per Cent range!! And He comes out on TOP!! And, by the "Skin of His Teeth!!"

Sorry, friends. We're being HAD, Time after Time after Time!! And, WHY?? Because us Americans are way, way TOO TRUSTING!! Our 'President' looks us in the Eye and promises he's telling us the Truth, only to be found out several weeks, or months, LATER!! And How Many Times have we seen that happen?

Ickes is the only person in either campaign to have actually played a roll in unseating the Florida and Michigan delegations.
