While conceding that Obama was a good athlete, MSNBC's Joe Scarborough had some less-than-laudatory comments about the Illinois Senator's bowling skills.

First, I need to make something clear: I'm not someone who cowers in fear of 527 ads.

I don't think it's racism, and as an AA, I'm always looking instances of racism. Joe was accused in Jan. of being in the Obama camp. tank because Joe complained relentlessly about Bill Clinton's behavior on the campaign trail in SC. I think his producers have told him to change the narrative and attack Obama and lighten up on Clinton.

Thank God! The last thing this country needs is another macho man. Obama's secure enough that he doesn't need to puff up his chest and don a flight jacket to declare "mission accomplished" with his package visible for the world to see. If I were a woman voter, I'd probably prefer to support his integrated feminine side to Hillary's disowned feminine side. I know many people reading this won't understand, but have a read of "Wild Man's Journey" by Richard Rohr, OFM and you'll know what I mean. As a white Christian male, I'm proud to be an Obama supporter in a world full of sad men who were never affirmed by their father, like poor Joe over here. I bet he drives a hummer with "no fear" on the back.

Scarborough is just a jerk. He makes any inflammatory comment to down Democrats. He adds little to the commentary. He probably does cast his ballot based on a candidate's bowling technique. Many conservative pundits know that they lose on the issues, so they concentrate on personal attacks, which is Scarborough's specialty.

One would think that after four years of Bush incompetence and malfeasance that pundits would no longer emphasize casting a ballot based on who you would like to have a beer with. Scarborough and others still do. Although, I think many people would like to have a beer with Obama. He is very lieable.

What is really funny is I don't think Joe realized what he did was slam women by saying Barack bowled like a little girl...I know he was using his daughter by way of comparison but it still is sexist language --even though understandable in context. It's just that I am generally sick and tired of men using the comparison to a woman or girl as a pejorative. I do have a sense of humor but there still was a twinge--and Rachel understood that!!!

I agree. I thought to myself when I heard Joe, that women bowlers who also heard him are cringing. The more I see Obama, the more I like him. I like his demeanor and his brilliance.
