Bill

"The Bill Clinton who met privately with California's superdelegates at last weekend's state convention was a far cry from the congenial former president who afterward publicly urged fellow Democrats to 'chill out' over the race between his wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Barack Obama," the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

"It was one of the worst political meetings I have ever attended," one superdelegate said.

According to those at the meeting, Clinton - who flew in from Chicago with bags under his eyes - was classic old Bill at first, charming and making small talk with the 15 or so delegates who gathered in a room behind the convention stage.

But as the group moved together for the perfunctory photo, Rachel Binah, a former Richardson delegate who now supports Hillary Clinton, told Bill how "sorry" she was to have heard former Clinton campaign manager James Carville call Richardson a "Judas" for backing Obama.

It was as if someone pulled the pin from a grenade.

"Five times to my face (Richardson) said that he would never do that," a red-faced, finger-pointing Clinton erupted.

The former president then went on a tirade that ran from the media's unfair treatment of Hillary to questions about the fairness of the votes in state caucuses that voted for Obama. It ended with him asking delegates to imagine what the reaction would be if Obama was trailing by just 1 percent and people were telling him to drop out.

Bill and Hillary bringing America apart at the seams with their arrogance and ignorance. How could anyone in their right mind want to return these idiots to ther white house so we can continue the corrupt Bush-Clinton dynasty at a time when we must leave this kind of garbage politics behind and move forward.

He just can't believe they're not going to win.

Why can't everyone learn more about the 22nd Amendment??!!

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 09:22 AM on 04/02/2008

What does the 22nd have to do with it? Bill isn't on the ticket. I'm not arguing that he's campaigning and throwing his (considerable) personal political weight around. But he's not going to swear the oath and he won't have the power to nominate Federal judges, give orders to the military, or sign legislation. That's the difference, and that's what the 22nd addresses.

I should have been more specific that putting Bill back in the Oval Office is a "de facto breach of the 22nd Amendment". Further, no reasonable person can believe we should have him back in the White House influencing policy.

We deserve better.

This is Billary's sense of entitlement to the presidency. How DARE anyone else even presume to beat her out of the nomination? The nerve!

Now let's imagine that Hillary is not the wife of a former 2 term president. Let's see how much tougher the media would be on her? And let's also realize that the media would not be perpetuating this fairy tale that she still has a snowball's chance in Hell of winning the nomination. I think she's gotten quite the free ride out of being a former first lady. Bill and Hill need to chill out.

What's wrong with that? Richardson said 5x he would do one thing did another. I'd be pissed too!

Twice I voted for him, but I'm done with the Clinton era.

I said it at the time, Richardson looked ready to endorse Barack right there around the Super Bowl, but Bill C went and put out that fire before Cal, New Mexico and Nevada with his Super Bowl 'PARTY'.

Politics as usual. Nothing wrong with that.

Barack Obama is going to win this thing without cheating and without manipulation. Just let him do it.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Bill doesn't just WANT to get back into the White House, he NEEDS to get back in the White House. Wow does he sound desperate.

Oh, yes, we sure do want this pair in the Whitehouse again. Its so dull there now, and there's nothing like an out-of-control, finger-wagging, arrogant Bill Clinton to liven things up...as co-president.

Yes, it's very dull at the White House now. Dull as in dumb. As much as I want Obama to win, I'll vote for Hillary if she gets through this. Better a democrat with a pushy and crass ex-president for a husband than more republican dullness that sends off America's youth to die in Iraq.

Bill just wants back in the White House. You know, he got used to public housing, and he misses it. Plus, there's all those servants paid for by the taxpayers. Of course, he'd be out of sorts.

And he surely doesn't want to release those tax returns!! At least not now, during the primaries. . .

A good diary at the Kos on Hillary's pattern of lying. (I know this thread is about Bill, but, for more people than me, Bill and Hillary are one thing. And anyway, they both have a pattern of lying....)

I'm late to this discussion. Bill's lying is a pattern that his protege` has learned to emulate. No surprise there. Actually, as an OBAMA FAN. I love it when Bill does stuff like that. The Clintons' delusional feelings of entitlement will be their downfall.
