The Hills' Heidi Montag: I'm Voting For McCain

The New York Times recently called Heidi Montag a "feminist hero" for standing up to beau Spencer Pratt, but the Hills star, 21, isn't backing Hillary Clinton for president.

"I'm voting for John McCain," she tells Us Weekly in its latest issue, on newsstands now.

"I'm a Republican and McCain has a lot of experience," she explains.

Who cares what some bleached-blond pseudo-famous airhead with money thinks? Of course she is going to vote for a Republican. Not to vote for McCain (in her particular case) would be the real shocker.

Actually, wealthy Republicans get their own welfare benefits. Their capital gains are taxed at a lower rate than the income of a teacher and aren't subject to social security withholding. The government contributes to their corporations, which makes them richer. It's just done behind closed doors, or upon a benevolent pretense.

There are Democratic wealthy people too. They just aren't pathologically greedy and evil.

Hmm,... seems to me that the only reason 'we' haven't had to raise taxes during Bush's watch is that we are running up a huge tab for the next generation to pay off.

And,... seems to me that Government has kinda grown (Think DHS among other things) under Bush, Earmarks for Congressme­n/Senators had reached new highs prior to 2006 elections, and Big Brother is watching us more, and more,...

How is that in any way the old Republican ideal?

I have run across a lot of things in my life that make me shake my head but one of the silliest has to be, My family has voted one party for x number of generations and I will vote that way also.
