Larry King Baseball

Larry King was recently named one of GQ's 25 "Most Whipped Husbands," but his devotion to his family doesn't stop at his wife Shawn: King, who coaches his 9-year old son Chance's baseball team, recently got so crazed in a fight with an umpire that he got kicked off the Beverly Hills Little League field.

The New York Observer's Spencer Morgan reports:

"[Mr. King] was making a fool out of himself as a manager on the field, talking in the middle of the field in the middle of plays," reported a source close to the action.

According to this source, Mr. King was told by the umpire in question to "regroup" and calm himself, and he did not respond well to this. Rather, the informant said, he continued arguing and was then relegated to the bleachers, where he continued to make noise, and was finally forced to watch the game from the outfield's periphery.

Read Morgan's entire report here.

One of the little kids should have pinned him down and slapped some sense into him.

Good God. Larry King has a kid young enough to play Little League? This just underlines the necessity for sterilization of men over 80 who have sired at least three other families.

No surprise there. And Larry reached a new low last night by giving an hour of broadcast time to the brain-dead blowhard Jesse Ventura's crackpot political musings. What a couple of big nothings they are!

I kinda lost respect for Larry, after watching his interview with Jesse Ventura. He questioned Jesse about Jesse's "support" for "illegal aliens" (specifically Latinos), asking him if he really though that it was okay for the illegals to come here, to which Jesse replied, "“We (Europeans) come in, kill the Native Americans, take their land and now we require paperwork to be here?” Larry jokingly added, “We stole it fair and square.”

To millions of us Native Americans who live in a land occupied by "foreigners" that often treat us with disdain in our own land, this is not a laughing matter -- and certainly not a subject that should be summarily passed off as a joking matter. I am surprised at Larry "Zeiger" King, whose own people, the Jews, considered the "theft" of their land 2000 years ago by the Romans as no joking matter. Did Larry think that their land was "stolen, fair and square?" I don't think so. I am sure that he, like the supporters of Zionism, would expect Americans to side with Israel in their endeavor to reclaim that "stolen land" which comprises Israel, yet he jokes about living on land here in America that they "stole, fair and square" from the Indians. Jeez...talk about hypocrisy. This kind of ignorant mindset is one reason that America is losing respect around the world.

the treatment of native Americans by the Europeans and later the US government, especially under Pres Jackson, is one of the most unreported genocides in modern history ... it needs to be taught in schools despite the discomfort of the genocide-deniers on the right

Let's take it a step further and teach the real truth about how Columbus did not "discover" anything and how he murdered, pillaged, plundered and spread disease to native people.
Or how there were more Polish and Russians murdered during the holocaust than Jews.
I doubt this will get published though...I have ranted about Columbus in the past and the posts never see the light of day.
There was an excellent show on PBS the other night about how the guy who claimed to "discover" the North Pole virtually kidnapped an Eskimo family and brought them to New York to be "studied" by anthropologists.
Within a short time they all died from viruses.
The hubris of the white man will never fail to astound and sicken me.

Larry doesn't come up with the questions, his producers do. He has said this numerous times. He phones it in and has for a long time.

At least Larry has a interest in his son, I understand he walks him to school everyday. I bet this kid also was knows what its like to have someone who cares. I always had a interest in any thing my children did.

Yeah, I'm sure the kid's real proud his dad acted like an immature fool and humiliated him in front of his peers. That's the kind of attention every child needs.

Walking your kid to school every day, could be either a good or not so good thing, it depends on the parent.

Sometimes, well meaning but over involved parents need to give their kids a little space.

Larry had better live it up now, because he's going to be long gone by the time the kid hits high school. That's what you get when you decide at 70 that you haven't smeared your genome around quite enough yet.

The creepy part is that a 75-year-old man has a nine-year-old son. That's just gross, and unfair to a child who'll certainly grow up without his father.

Although in this case, the kid might do better with just a picture on the wall.

OH, COME ON. This is sheer "agism." Agism is to age as sexism is to sex and racism is to race. It just hasn't hit the political correctness crowd yet. I'm getting a bit up there myself. But know what? If a woman in her twenties ever is interested in me, I'm there and fuck everybody who uses the phrase "age appropriate behavior."

There is nothing ageist about the notion that leaving hordes of fatherless children because you want to get your rocks off and leave behind still more little Larries is morally questionable behavior.

If you want to wrap it up, great. There is nothing disgusting or creepy about a 75 year old having sex, contrary to asoudiere's statement. In that, at least, you are correct.

Ture, he might grow up without his father.............but he surely will grow with his "money."
