Larry King Baseball

Larry King was recently named one of GQ's 25 "Most Whipped Husbands," but his devotion to his family doesn't stop at his wife Shawn: King, who coaches his 9-year old son Chance's baseball team, recently got so crazed in a fight with an umpire that he got kicked off the Beverly Hills Little League field.

The New York Observer's Spencer Morgan reports:

"[Mr. King] was making a fool out of himself as a manager on the field, talking in the middle of the field in the middle of plays," reported a source close to the action.

According to this source, Mr. King was told by the umpire in question to "regroup" and calm himself, and he did not respond well to this. Rather, the informant said, he continued arguing and was then relegated to the bleachers, where he continued to make noise, and was finally forced to watch the game from the outfield's periphery.

Read Morgan's entire report here.

Exactly what is wrong with Little Leagues of any sport. PARENTS!! In Larry's case, "old enough to be the kids great-grandparent!"

Come on...did you ever consider his suspenders might have been too tight causing a painful compression of his undersized nuggets?

Larry King is a Republican and a close friend of the Bush family. When GHWB and Barbara warned him not to put Kitty Kelly on his programme, he agreed. They told him that they would close access if he did. Kitty was on his show for Sinatra and Reagan book, but not about Lips Bush.

In fairness, King was somewhat critical of the idiot-son, George W. Bushs' foreign policy just after he invaded and occupied Iraq......then he went silent on the issue.

Draw your own conclusions.

Where did you get the idea that he is a Democrat, and where do you get off making a statement like this?

Seems to me that your favorite Republican (see, I'm making an assumption here, based on avaliable evidence) George W. Bush went crazier and has done far more harm when he thinks he's not getting his way. What do you think the last seven years are all about?

Now, regarding Larry King -- regardless of his party affiliation, if any, the man is older than dirt and is a spoiled, pampered media-made celebrity whose sense of entitlement is even greater than Hillary Clinton's (how's that for bi-partisanship?).

I have seen this first hand a few years back at Atlanta airport while a group of us was waiting for our flight and for the gate agent to show up. King was standing around, pacing, muttering profanities, red-faced and furious that no one was there to attend to his every need. He stomped, shouted and fumed at the poor woman from Delta who just happened tro be in the vicinity and was not assigned to our flight, and generally humilated her in front of the rest of us.

A massive and ugly display of immaturity and self-importance.

See, this kind of thing is not a matter of party affiliation, it is a matter of common decency. This is something you ought to think about before insulting the rest of us, OK?

You mean sort of like the way that Democrats have been for the last 7 years of the Bush administrartion? Excuse me, but when Democrats don't get their way they just roll over and play dead.

as opposed to a republican who savours the rape and slaughter of innocent people of an invaded nation.
