Obama Jokes About The Comedic Value Of Cable News

Barack Obama was the special guest on the Hardball College Tour with Chris Matthews on Wednesday. When Matthews asked the Democratic frontrunner when the last time was that he heard something so crazy that he just went to bed laughing about it, Obama decided it was time to have a little fun at the Hardball host's expense. Once again the media is showing its infactuation with Sen. Barack Obama. Don't get me wrong. The senator is a good speaker, but what is the content of his speech. Why aren't we allowed to question him on any of his positions. Look at Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (Mo-D) his recent comments are right on target. Whites are voting for him thinking that this will prove they are not the boogeyman. But actually we know nothing about him.

If you don't know anything about him you have chosen not to look. Both of them give speeches completly lacking in substance, and really a speech or a rally is not a great place to bring up substance. He has detailed answers elsewhere same as Clinton. The him having no substance is just a Clinton talking point. And I have watched entire speeches she has givien talking about nothing but how little substance Obama has, you have to ask yourself the substance to Clinton is her talking about Obamas lack of substance? You want substance go to their websites, read their books, look up the legislation they have sponsored on the thomas site. But stop parroting the Clinton talking point about no substance, her substance lately, has been lies, bigotry, fearmongering, and hypocrisy.

Clinton's substance is that she's going to FIGHT to make sure we don't ship JOBS overseas that we can do RIGHT HERE AT HOME! etc.

The truth is, both of their standard stump speeches are mostly lacking in specifics of any sort. If you take the time, you can find out where they stand, but Clinton's speeches are no more substantive than Obama's*. What she's doing is using his eloquence and her reputation as a wonk as weapons.

I have looked at each candidate's profile on their website. And the most logical choice fr me is Obama.
All Fox will show you is a few carefully picked seconds out of a lifetime of service of reverend Wright, just to discredit Obama. It's too obvious, and if you and your friends don't have enough common sense to see it's a frame, I'm sorry for you, you'll get owned again.

I saw Obama on Mathews and even though I support him I wince when he gets asked a question about Rev. Wright and then gives a pat answer e.g., don't insist on coveing something said once over a long period fof time. Wright's rants weren't limited to a one-time rant. They happened several times and for someone not to get up and walk out of that church, in fact, leave that church because of Wright paranoid anti-semitic and disgusting remarks about 9/11 etc, is really troubling. If Obama gets the nomination, the republians are goijng to play his response over and over in TV ads and the more they do, Obama will lose blue collar votes. If he would have only given a direct answer saying he made a mistake even, many of the electorate might have forgiven him but this? This is no good and to many borders on shameful.

Have you heard any coverage about how many times in 30 years Wright made those diatribes? Have you even bothered to listen to the whole sermons? Do you think a few seconds of selected clips summarize half a lifetime of service? Are you able to think critically?
If you answer no to all questions, you're one of the "lemmings" Jesse Ventura talks about. All the media needs to say is that the candidate you vote for is worthless and you'd believe it without fact checking.

What you seem to forget that the people that criticize Rev. White forget to add that he has served this country militarily. You have to think being in the military and being black had to have given him his views and opinions in his times there was alot of racism, there still is, but in those times it was public. Besides everyone knows a great person that has said something dissapointing a few times in a lifetime. Besides 30 second clips of a sermon should not account for 30 yrs. of sermons. If that is the case then he should be respected and praised for serving his country.

own interest. We need to separate church from state. Don't vote for Rev. Wright, vote for Obama.
