Air America Host Randi Rhodes Suspended For Calling Hillary A "Big F*cking Whore"

Air America host Randi Rhodes called both Geraldine Ferraro and Hillary Clinton "whores" in a recent appearance, seen below. Rhodes, who hosts a weekday radio show on Air America, said to the cheering crowd, "What a whore Geraldine Ferraro is! She's such a fucking whore!" She then proceeded to say, "Hillary is a big fucking whore, too" to a mixed audience reaction. "You know why she's a big fucking whore? Because her deal is always, 'Read the fine print, asshole!'"

Update: Rhodes has been now been suspended from the network. Air America released the following statement:

Air America has suspended on-air host Randi Rhodes for making inappropriate statements about prominent figures, including Senator Hillary Clinton, at a recent public appearance on behalf of Air America in San Francisco which was sponsored by an Air America affiliate station.

"Air America encourages strong opinions about public affairs but does not condone such abusive, ad hominem language by our Hosts," said chair Charlie Kireker.

Can't say I disagree with Randi. Air America better get their act together and get her back on the air. Randi Rhodes spoke at a private function, ... not in her broadcast capacity over Air America. Her employer is out of line suspending her. What part of what she said offends? ... 3) she spoke in her capacity as an Air America host

I had to give up listening to Randi some time ago; she had just become too obnoxious. It appears that Randi has bought into her own press and believes she is the 'goddess of the airwaves' She talks over her callers; even the ones trying to agree with her.
Unlike Randi, I was never a big fan of the Clintons; there was a time when she was all but in love with them. I supported Kucinich, gave money to his campaign, when he dropped out I supported Edwards, when he dropped out I chose Obama over Clinton principally on her war vote. I marched in every antiwar demonstration, it seemed clear to me that this was was insane. Hillary couldn't figure it out.
