Blythe Danner Dismisses Gwyneth Marriage Problems, Talks Grandkids

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are happily married, thank you very much.

Paltrow's mother, actress Blythe Danner, has slammed blog reports that the couple's 4-year marriage is on the rocks.

"Good god, it's just so tragic that people have to make up stuff," she told Usmagazine.com at the NYC screening of The Visitor on Tuesday. "I've never seen two happier parents -- or people -- so I don't get it."

"They're pretty fabulous," she said of her grandchildren. "Yesterday my little grandson says, 'Don't go! Don't go!' You just don't get that kind of love from everybody."

If Barbra Streisand were to just direct and not star in a movie, she should direct Blythe and Gwynethe since she's already worked with Blythe twice!

So far as I am aware, both Blythe Danner and her daughter are very classy people. They have done nothing to draw attention to themselves, much, other than perform exceptionally well in their chosen fields as actresses. Therefore, whether or not there is any trouble in either of their families, I would like to see the press leave them alone. They would not be the first people to have personal problems, and their chances of working through them would probably improve if the press backs off. The best way for that to happen is if people want it to happen, which we should.

Gwyneth Paltrow ditched her father, Bruce Paltrow, when he was going throw his awful cancer battle. Why? To pursue narcissistic interests. She may be talented but gives every impression of a spoiled, uneducated brat. Her marriage, one of the many transient Hollywood unions, is of little consequence to anyone grounded in reality.

Blythe Danner is one of my favorite actresses. She did a master's class at my daughter's school a couple of years ago. My daughter spoke with her at length and said she was a lovely person.
