John McCain joined Joe Scarborough on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" Thursday and joked about yesterday's Us revelation that "The Hills" star Heidi Montag supports McCain for president. Today McCain showed he has no clue who she is, but is being a sport about the whole situation. He called the reality star and wannabe singer a "talented actress" while laughing. Lest one think he doesn't take his celebrity endorsements seriously, however, McCain then touted those of Clint Eastwood, Sylvester Stallone and Jon Voight.

Here's the whole interview:

Kind of reminds me of the missing lobbyist. Definitely his type. Where is that lobbyist anyway? Media doesn't seem to care. Just give him another pass, you tools.

Jon Voight supports McBush?

I didn't know his politics were so different from his daughter's ! No wonder they're estranged.

Sen. McCain has already ditched one wife for a younger woman, what's to stop him from doing it again?
Is McCain going to be the American Sarkozy?

I guess the "actress" doesn't care about McSame's bad temper. Who in the world wants an old man with a short fuse, with a hand on the red button? Scary, even if Hellary thinks he is wonderful.
Don't let his "electricfying" speeches fool you. Crickets.

MSNBC is unwatchable most of the time...Except when Olbermann is on...but most of the networks are. Where do I get REAL news? Countdown and Daily Show...

Well, there's still PBS (until the Republican's take away its funding) and BBC. ABC and CBS are probably better than most networks, but the heyday of American news is long over. It has become an entertainment business, to some, and a propaganda tool, for the right.
My problem with Olbermann is that he doesn't try to be impartial enough. I don't mean that he has to present every right wing slander and lie as if it had an ounce of truth, but I do want a non-emotional presentation on a news show. Olbermann is part news, part opinion, and the two are not adequately separated.

as if a calbe tv actress' approval isn't way more than enough for a 72 yr old, mr magoo now has his mom sharing fond recollections of johnny with whoever needs a talk guest.
MOM VOUCHES FOR 72 YR OLD JOB APPLICANT would normally be a national enquirer headline. but it's just more hilarity for mr magoo. it throws a twilight zone type of monkey wrench into the whole time dimension. then there's an uneasy feeling that, to mr & mom magoo, one's own lifespan is probably like a fruitfly's is to us.

I guess all the supporters of McCain want more American's to go to war and have nice, comfy draft. Of course, only if the supporters or their kids have to go.

I've noticed lately a gaggle of hot, young women throwing their support behind John McCain. Now I have no proof, and this is just speculation. But dare I suppose as an armchair psychologist that these women are suffering from "daddy" issues of some kind? None of them seem to articulate the specific reasons for their support very succinctly. I think it's a "father figure" thing.

the thing about women on the left is they actually have first and last names, are frequently seen with most of their clothes on, and are people most of us have heard of. this makes them difficult for news gossip on cable to deal with. one lesson mccain learned was when reagan and bush 41 appeared on a podium in cowboy hats with the dallas cowboy cheerleaders. that finished mondale-ferraro. it also gave '70's feminism it's final deathblow.
