Clinton North Dakota

Political Radar:

Sen. Hillary Clinton made a blunt appeal to North Dakota delegates to switch their support to her, despite the fact that Sen. Barack Obama handily defeated her in the state's caucus in February.

In an indication of how tense the battle has become for each Democratic delegate, Obama abandoned the campaign trail in Pennsylvania and scooted to North Dakota for the state party's annual dinner last night, despite the fact that he's already won 14 of the state's 21 delegates as well as six of the state's seven superdelegates.

If Clinton supporters imagine all of Hillary's tactics (poaching delegates, trying to get ballots counted when her name isn't even on them--because she promised, as he did, to honor the states' schedule) being done by Obama instead, wouldn't it bother them?

If you have that kind of reaction, if it would bother you for OBAMA to do this, it tells you what your candidate is doing is wrong.

I hope they do switch I know Johnny Mac can beat her for sure because her favorable rating is less than 50% no, and with the Independants of which 60% will vote for McCain, and we can have us another republican prez. yip peeeeeeeee!

Tacky, tacky, tacky. This is not strong, this is not determined, this is just plain tacky. Obviously, she doesn't give a damn about the actual voters who have participated thus far in the primary process, unless they voted for her. Considering how offensive her campaign has been in dismissing the relevance of states like North Dakota up until now (since any state Obama won didn't really matter, right?), I would hope those delegates in North Dakota take a moment to remind her they're in one of "those states" and tell her where she can stick her newfound interest in their state. What a creep.

Keep dreaming, girlfriend. I myself am attending my State Convention next month and I switched from Clinton TO Obama, after being die-hard Clinton supporter and pledging accordingly...as have many other people I've spoken to. Her campaign is an unmitigated disaster; she has exposed herself repeatedly to be completedly devoid of ethics, Party loyalty, integrity, as well as any economic or financial acumen (crappy campaign spending decisions, and proclaiming Greenspan the possible cure to, when he was actually one of the architects of, our economic woes). If this is how she runs a campaign, I do NOT want to see what her presidency might look like. I will happily vote for her over McCain, but that is still a position that I hope not to find myself in come November.

I'll say this once again. Why is it okay for her to disenfranchise the voters in ND while at the same time weeping crocodile tears for the disenfranchised voters of FL and MI?

And why does anyone still think she gives a crap about anything but getting into the White House? Every time I see that plastic smile on her face I want to barf.

Her campaign previously promised not to do this, of course.

I thought she said caucus states were undemocratic and the states she won are the ones that count the most as opposed to the ones Obama won? Did I miss something? Were those people in the states she dissed listening? In the Clinton playbook is it okay for the teams who cheated to decide the winner of the contest?

Something tells me that in this hypothetical that more Clinton pledged delegates would switch to Obama then from Obama to Clinton. Maybe she is actually laying groundwork for a self-inflicted political harakiri

She does seem to have all the political nuance of a suicide bomber here, that's for sure.

So...disenfranchising American voters in North Dakota is perfectly fine with Hil-liar-y---just as long as the change is in her favor.

Wasn't it enough that she wants to count her delegates and popular votes in MICHIGAN--knowing that, per DNC agreement---Sen. Obama's name wasn't even on the ballot???

Who is running the most efficient, superior , fiscally strong campaign?

Who leads in states won?

Who leads in the popular vote?

Who leads in pledged delegates

Who's picked up super delegate after super delegate?

'nuff said.

Why is a union busting lobbyist like Mark Penn still part of the Clinton campaign?

Let me rephrase your question: "Why is a union busting lobbyist like Mark Penn still party of the corporate-sucking Clinton campaign??

Makes it a lot easier to answer the question.

Because Clinton herself has a long history union busting. Ask Wal-mart who donated 1,000,000 to her campaign.

Because clinton doesn't care about unions.

Penn has been the Clintons' go-to guy for many years.

Why do blue collar workers, many union families, support Clinton with her "team" lead by Penn?

I literally felt the bile rise up in my throat reading this story. How dare she try to subvert the nomination process. If she wanted those delegates, she should have fought harder to organize when the state caucused. To now, after the fact, try to steal those delegates made me ashamed that she wants to represent the American people. We don't stand for cheating and sour grapes.

Yesterday, I defended her on the hospital story, which I thought was not that big a deal. But the story today on her contortions to portray herself as against the war before Obama and then this make me physically ill. I'm getting to the point that I wish her personally ill, not just losing this contest. And that's a bad way to feel about a public official.

Careful....in about 5 minutes one of Clinton's information-challenged, spelling-challenged and grammar-challenged dupes will be along to call you a 'hater' and a 'cultist.' That is what they do to anybody who presents an informed and reasonable opinion about her on Huffpost.

Not only that, but they will use the exact-same words as the previous dupes did. Coincidence? I think not!

Well to be fair, there is a couple who can not only spell but are adept at minipulating words and pretty good at rovian tactics.

Those are the more annoying ones, b/c they clearly aren't idiots, yet still post bald faced lies as though they were fact. And a couple of them provoke reaction for the sole purpose of smearing Obama with how "mean" his followers are.
