Political Radar:

Sen. Hillary Clinton made a blunt appeal to North Dakota delegates to switch their support to her, despite the fact that Sen. Barack Obama handily defeated her in the state's caucus in February.

In an indication of how tense the battle has become for each Democratic delegate, Obama abandoned the campaign trail in Pennsylvania and scooted to North Dakota for the state party's annual dinner last night, despite the fact that he's already won 14 of the state's 21 delegates as well as six of the state's seven superdelegates.

If she loses, her plan is to take her followers and pack them up and they're gonna move to Jamestown, Guyana.

It's way past the time for an an intervention!

I hope Hillary's delegates are listening...it is not too late to support Barack Obama! If you have become disenchanted with her negativity, or have just had reason to reconsider....Hillary will understand.

Really! I wonder why it seems to have never occurred to her that she could lose delegates disenchanted with her "kitchen sink" gamesmanship but she thinks she can sway Obama's delegates to switch sides.

Ed Shultz (Air America radio in North D.) is going to have a field day with this on Monday. Brace yourself Hillary.

Why isn't anyone in the MSM pointing out the obvious, as some of your commenters have? Hillary Clinton's two main 'strategies' are (1) we need all these primares so that "every vote counts," & (2) obama delegates should change their votes to her against the will of the voters these delegated are pledged to represent.

With this rationale, the people's vote counts bupkis. Sen. Clinton is not a good person.

I just can't stand much more of Hillary. If Obama were doing this, she'd be screaming to high heaven.
I have never seen such a dirty way of fighting as she has, it is just sickening. And she is shameless, she just doesn't care.
I now think that she is amoral, rather than immoral. Which makes her very dangerous.

She is so slick, She wants her supporters to think that she is just a figher , while all the time, she is fighting a dirty fight.

Just when I get over one shock of something she does, she pulls another stunner. She must be on meds or something, because her strategy is pretty bad. This is the woman who really wants to include the voters of Michigan and Florida, but then take away the pledged delegates from the rest of the country? Makes no sense.

"...Obama abandoned the campaign trail in Pennsylvania and scooted to North Dakota for the state party's annual dinner last night..."

And herein lies her strategy. You may not want to vote for her but you've got to admire her gamesmanship. She managed to divert Obama from Pennsylvania ...

North Dakota is having their state convention, and both Barack and Chinton spoke before the, just an hour apart.

nohat - I have a better question, why didn't she see Obama as a serious candidate?

I don't know about this "dinner" but they both had planned to be in North D. for this Democratic meeting. I heard about this a week ago on Air America.

Check the 'pending comments' at the top. I think I read where there are only 15 moderators, they might be busy under the other subjects (especially on a Saturday night).

Hillary is thinking that she could capitalize on the Rev. Wright backlash and Barack's badly worded statement about the "typical White person" after his race speech. When that initially occurred, there a few people who called into MSNBC stating they were sorry they had caucused for Obama and how could they go about changing that. Those are the people she is trying to reach. I don't think she has thought it out well though. People like that, while free to feel betrayed, are not going to end up being the delegate eventually sent to the convention. For a supposedly educated woman, Hillary Clinton's judgment is seriously questionable.

Those people would never show up at the next level of caucuses anyway. We had about 1000 at our district caucus today and about 60% of them were there for Obama and the Hillary supporters were very rude when the Obama rep was speaking. It was so bad the district chair had to step in.

The reason Wright and the comment typical white person didn't hurt Obama I feel is because anyone with a brain who realize that a person who had a "white mother" and a "black father" would hardly be a racist. To hate either race would mean you hate a part of yourself. And this rubbish "he hates his country, he's not patrotic; Yeah right, he would hate a country that has provided him opportunities most people can't even dream about.

Gotta love that Hillary! She sure is a fighter! Since she loves talking about the rule that the pledged delegates can vote for whoever they want, why doesn't she love the rule that MI and FL contests were invalid?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 08:28 PM on 04/05/2008

She's a fighter --- some may Interpret that way, I don't. My impression of her is she's a cheater and a lair. It has been proven that one can succeed in their goals with their integrity in tack.

Glad to see some Democrats are finally opening their eyes to this.

I have watched with much interest as Mrs. Clinton has had to retract stump speeches recently. This simply reinforced my decision to no longer support her.

However, the stunt she attempted in North Dakota is beyond civilized comprehension for me? It's not a question of whether it's legal... It's the simple gall of it.

Had I still been a Hillary supporter when this North Dakota fiasco occurred, I wouldn't be today. Just reading about this nonsense almost seems fictional. It's seems like I'm reading something that happens in a country not governed by a democracy.

If Mrs. Clinton somehow stole this nomination, I would hope that a sensible American like Chuck Hagel, Claire McCaskill, or Dick Webb would run as an Independent.

This woman simply CANNOT be our next president!!!!!

You've got to hand it to the Gollums, though - they wants their potuses.

talk about a desperate MONSTER. can someone just kick her out now? how much more do we need to hear from her, her ugly daughter and her corrupt husband. they need to be banished. and btw, can new york voters like me impeach her? i don't want her as my senator, which she really has never been, she doesn't even know where fort greene is and has only ventured between wall street and 72nd street on the east side of manhattan. has she been to the bronx, harlem, queens, staten island or brooklyn. doubt it. i hate the monster.
