FNC's Courtney Friel Gets A Pie In The Face

Courtney Friel

No one can say that Fox News correspondent Courtney Friel won't take one for the team — today she did just that while reporting from the Ringling Bros. Circus at Madison Square Gardens, interviewing the Lead Ringmaster and the Lead Clown — and getting a pie in the face for her trouble. So much for makeup and hair. Friel, who's taken heat via anonymously-whispered gossip for her rise at Fox News (and bikini photos she took before that) always seems chipper and upbeat on air, whatever she happens to be doing, and she seems a plucky good sport here, too. Volunteering for a pie in the face has got to earn some points, no? Watch for yourself and see — either way, she's certainly better than that creepy clown.

A Fox "babe" with pie in the face? Sounds like cheap Fox porn.

She's had so much cream (wink!) on her face over the years it was just another day at the office.

This is the sort of hard-hitting news even Fox couldn't mess up.

Hmmm...all it takes is a blonde and a pie in the face to get featured on the Huffington post...I guess we'll be seeing more and more Fox News material from now on?

I was hoping it had been thrown by animal rights advocates bringing attention to the fact that circuses are cruel, sad places for performing animals. They are forced to perform unnatural acts under stressful conditions, beaten, and live in tiny, sweltering enclosures. It's a living hell for them. How enccouraging there are humane alternatives, like Cirque de Soleil.

Sheesh, what's with you people? If your issue is with the circus, then toss the pie at the ringmaster or clown, not the reporter there covering the story. And you wonder why the animal rights advocates are called nutters and have a dubious reputation among the rational-thinking public.

She actually said, with a straight face, "In honor of Charlton Heston..." and then took a large, heaping helping of shaving cream to her face. I mean the Heston family are appreciative.

What do all these news Babes do after Fox?
Work at Hooters?

When they lose the looks, they will just get quoted, as in; "Reliable sources tell us, on the condition of anonymity, that this could be the most important information we made up."

That was not a pie. It was either whipped cream or shaving cream but not a pie.

The thing about Fox News is that the media/propaganda group uses extremely attractive woman as their reporters or anchors. It’s their subtle way to manipulate and pull viewers in and then they can start to brain wash its viewers by keeping them in the dark from the real truths. And people are pretty easy to make follow. Im pretty sure they will hire Elisabeth Hasselback when she quits or gets fired for saying something really dumb, which she isn’t far from doing. After all, she is the far right wings little sweetheart.

It's a lot like how they got Keanu Reeves in the Devil's Advocate

Yup. "It can't be evil if it is attractive." We are kind of instinctively trained to think that. Or, maybe its the fault of Disney cartoons.

pie in the face, bikini photos...we can file it all under "humiliating yourself in the name of celebrity". Love and Kisses, Zaphod.

Thats not the first time she has done that to reach this point in her career...but more importantly why would they waste 1min and 15 seconds of anyones time reporting this as news. Every story they run like this is an insult to the men and woman in iraq that are doing the dirty work for the war this channel supports with all its hart, just not enough to let the American people know whats really happening to the troops

Some of Fox's best journalism as far as I am concerned...
