Clinton Hospital Story May Actually Be True

ABC's Political Punch:

The New York Times had a real attention-grabbing story over the weekend indicating that Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, had been irritating an Ohio hospital by telling a false story about a poor, pregnant woman denied health care.

"The hospital said, 'Well, you don't have insurance,'" Clinton said. "She said, 'No, I don't.' They said, 'Well, we can't see you until you give $100.' She said, 'Where am I going to get $100?' The next time she came back to the hospital, she came in an ambulance," Mrs. Clinton continued. "She was in distress. The doctors and the nurses worked on her and couldn't save the baby."

This Jake whatever his name is... seems like a very unserious journalist. "Obama may have lied to me, when he says he doesn't smoke cigarettes". "Hillary may have told the truth about the lady with health insurance issues". Why all the hedging for his stories? That's because he's either too lazy to find out or he has an agenda to push and knows that if he pushes too hard, it wouldn't stand up to scrutiny.

Ping, Your comment is absolutely appropriate; in the reading of Tapper's latest p.o.s we are treated to his usual simpering, sliding, manipulations. Bottom line is that Hillary dramatizes and enhances and tugs at listeners' heartstrings to make a point that is NOT substantiated.

With Hillary, it's a piece o' this, a smidgin o' that...and lo and behold you got a tarmac and sniper fire! And then, most certainly, you blame somebody else for any inconsistencies when you are called on it.

Why doesn't Tapper just apply for one of the many Clinton Campaign vacancies?

Even if the story turns out to be "technically" true, it's still a lie because Haiilary had the date wrong and some other stuff. Besides, Jake Tapper wrote this piece and he's the guy who lied about Barack sneaking a cigarette, which could never happen a) becausre Barack has more self-control than that and b) Barack, like George Washington, cannot tell a lie.

This headline - and accompanying story - is a farce of journalism. Essentially it says, "We cant actually PROVE that what she said is true, but that doesn't necessarily mean that Hillary's statement is a lie. It COULD have happened. if not to the person in question, someone else, maybe in Boznia."
