John McCain's temper is well documented. He's called opponents and colleagues "shitheads," "assholes" and in at least one case "a fucking jerk."...

Three reporters from Arizona, on the condition of anonymity, also let me in on another incident involving McCain's intemperateness. In his 1992 Senate bid, McCain was joined on the campaign trail by his wife, Cindy, as well as campaign aide Doug Cole and consultant Wes Gullett. At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain's hair and said, "You're getting a little thin up there." McCain's face reddened, and he responded, "At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt." McCain's excuse was that it had been a long day. If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days.

Perhaps the reason that Mrs. McCain looks like the Stepford-c­andidate's wife - she's afraid to do anything that might piss her husband off. This could be classified as abuse - I hope that this is an isolated event and Mrs. McCain has not been the victim of domestic violence.

I'm just wondering how this sits with all those supposed Hillary supporters who say they'll vote for McCain over Obama out of spite, because Obama had the nerve to be a better leader running a more organized campaign, where as McCain would just appoint judges to overturn Roe v Wade while being sexist enough to call his wife a "cunt" in a fit of anger. Oh, and continue to send the children and grandchildren of those women off to war where many more will not return.

Any progressive, PERIOD, who says they could never vote for Obama OR Clinton loses their Democratic card and right to complain on these issues. There's plenty of the latter on this site, so please spare us the double standard.
