FIA President Refuses To Resign Over Nazi-Inspired Orgy

The crescendo of calls for Max Mosley to resign are only going to make him more determined to stay on, according to a friend of the FIA president who has spoken to The Times.

With car companies, national motor sport federations, the Formula One paddock and well-known figures in the sport calling on him - or expecting him - to resign, Mosley has amazed and annoyed by refusing to accept that his position is hopeless.

Last night a friend of Mosley, who was the subject of a second successive set of lurid disclosures in the News of the World on Sunday about an alleged Nazi-inspired sado-masochistic orgy, said it is not in Mosley's nature to give in. In fact, the tighter the corner he finds himself, the more intransigent and pugnacious he will become.

So what? The man has some sexual tastes that some might find DIStasteful. It not like he was doing anything like this in the boardroom. Aren't we allowed to HAVE a private life anymore? If you peruse through the sado/masochist retail outlets online you will find that most of them are military/nazi based. I don't think this is any of our business--I would venture to guess it gets lots of hits on here so HuffPo keeps it up. If we have to discuss it I would say he isn't a nazi fetishist but gets off on being a victim...more of a masochist. And what straight man wouldn't want them doing that to him--if speaking honestly. Actually, I should phrase that "Aren't we allowed to have a PERSONAL life anymore?", since this was apparently posted online -- and therefore cannot, by definition, be 'private'. But, perhaps part of the excitement for him is that others will be looking at it, voyeurs...and you can take it from there.

Anyway, I think part of the difficulty for many people is their inability to believe that someone can compartmentalize to that degree. But think about it -- most of us do that on a daily basis -- we don't allow our personal viewpoint to color our professional lives. Now, if someone can show me some proof that these proclivities DID somehow influence what he did -- that's another story.

And higher up in this thread, a poster made a point about this man assesing a fine of $100M to a racing team for "bringing dishonor to the sport" or something like that. My question -- where was this activity done/ If they did it on the race track or some other public venue -- then he was probably correct. If they we doing somethins, again, in PRIVATE, then the ground is shakier. Now we're entering the realm of hypocracy.

Actually I am more concerned about the fascists who are in power in congress, and this administration. I just read how they were getting off on torture to the point of pure glee.
