Chelsea Clinton Asked About Monica Lewinsky Yet Again

For the third time in two weeks, Chelsea Clinton has been asked about Monica Lewinsky while campaiging for her mother. The question seems to be gaining popularity among college kids who either want to get a rise out of Clinton or are looking for the same kind of attention lavished on Evan Strange, the Butler University student, who first brought up the sore subject.

Many in the crowd at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., booed Monday when a question about the impeachment proceedings against President Clinton came up. Chelsea Clinton quickly summed up her position: "If that's what you want to vote on, that's what you should vote on. But I think there are other people (who are) going to vote on things like health care and economics," she said.

Amanda Morris, president of Purdue's Students for Hillary chapter, said Tuesday that she approved of the audience reaction and how Clinton is responding. She also expects the question might keep coming up.

I don't remember putting my hand in Bills Pants. I do, however, remember him putting his member into Monicas mouth in the Oval Office, and then lying about it under oath, then lying to the entire nation about it on TV, and then getting impeached for lying under oath about it. I do remember Hillary (who apparently probably can no longer remember putting her hand in bills pants either) trying to say that it was all part of a vast right wing conspiracy, which, as appealing as that might sound, was a lie, and she knew it.

But he DID do it in the Oval office, with an employee of the White House. Furthermore, this was not an "affair". It was an abuse of power on multiple levels. She was a very young employee of the white house, he was the president. He should have known better and NEVER put her in that position. Chelsea is acting as an advoctate for a presidential contender and, as such, she should be prepared for and answer any questions as long as the question in itself isn't demeaning. For example, if someone asked Chelsea "Did Bill Clinton have sex with Monica because your mother is fridged", Chelsea should decline to answer because it isn't relevent to running for president. However, any of the following would be fair game because they directly impact on what a Hillary Clinton White House would look like:

1. Does Hillary Clinton believe it is acceptable to lie under oath under any circumstances or does she believe that people can justify certain lies, like Bill Clinton attempted with respect to his affair with Monica Lewinsky?

2. The sex scandal between Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky appears to have resulted in a loss of focus by the Bill Clinton Administration which resulted in certain Democratic legislative failures and possibly a lack of focus on terrorism -- what guarantees do we have that similar scandals created by Bill Clinton won't distract a Hillary Clinton Administration?

I think these questions are highly relevant to assist people in making their voting decision. The first question goes to Hillary's integretity and willingness to be transparent in her actions. it's fair game to ask Chelsea about this because she is acting as a surrogate for her mother.
