Chelsea Clinton Asked About Monica Lewinsky Yet Again

For the third time in two weeks, Chelsea Clinton has been asked about Monica Lewinsky while campaiging for her mother. The question seems to be gaining popularity among college kids who either want to get a rise out of Clinton or are looking for the same kind of attention lavished on Evan Strange, the Butler University student, who first brought up the sore subject.

Many in the crowd at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., booed Monday when a question about the impeachment proceedings against President Clinton came up. Chelsea Clinton quickly summed up her position: "If that's what you want to vote on, that's what you should vote on. But I think there are other people (who are) going to vote on things like health care and economics," she said.

Amanda Morris, president of Purdue's Students for Hillary chapter, said Tuesday that she approved of the audience reaction and how Clinton is responding. She also expects the question might keep coming up.

Chelsea Clinton cannot have it both ways, if she is going to be out there campaigning , and asking people to vote for her lying conniving mother then she should be subjected to any questions from the public, she is a twenty eight year old woman whom, by her education and age can run for office, were she running for office would anyone be suggesting that she should not be grilled on every issue, she is not a child, if the Clintons do not want her to be asked questions, or answer them when asked ,then she ought not to be on the campaign trail,it is typical of the Clintons to want to compete on a playing field of their creation , one in which all the bounce is in their favor, it goes to the question of their sence of entitlement to the presidency.

Chelsea should be grilled on her Mother's record and any falsehoods she has made. The Monica Lewinsky story is just lurid gossip. I personally felt the President should have been found guilty on impeachment for purjury (he was held in contempt paid a fine and lost his bar license) but we all know the story and if college kids today want to appeal to their prurient curiosity there are alot of hard and soft core porn on the internet. If the college students want to be taken seriously then they should stick to quetions that address issues in this campaign.

As she supports her mom's invasion and occupation, she should have enlisted in the military and be on the front lines until all US troops and contractors are pulled out. If she was where she should be -- on the front lines of the occupation she supports, she wouldn't be asked that question, at least publicly.

It's wrong she's asked that question. It's much more wrong for my family to be put in harm's way by her mother's policy, while she remains here in safety and campaigns for her mother, who intends to remain in Iraq, possibly with members of my family in harm's way. She's the right age to ask her to take the same risks she and her mom are asking my family members, and hudreds of thousands of other families' members, to take.

Automatically deciding for yourself, that the one who asked the question is an Obama supporter, and a mean spirited one at that, kind of make you the mean spirited one. I know Hillary supporters may not believe this, but there are anti-Obama people out there, who can not stand Hillary. Actually, that's a great response. The only problem is it dignifies the question, which has little or nothing to do with Hillary Clinton's qualifications. And if it has any relevance, the question needs to be posed to Bill and Hillary. The fact that it is being asked of Hillary reflects very badly on the questioners, who to my mind are looking both to embarrass Chelsea and catch a little notoriety for themselves.
