Secret Iran Missile Site

Times Online:

The secret site where Iran is suspected of developing long-range ballistic missiles capable of reaching targets in Europe has been uncovered by new satellite photographs.

The imagery has pinpointed the facility from where the Iranians launched their Kavoshgar 1 "research rocket" on February 4, claiming that it was in connection with their space programme.

Analysis of the photographs taken by the Digital Globe QuickBird satellite four days after the launch has revealed a number of intriguing features that indicate to experts that it is the same site where Iran is focusing its efforts on developing a ballistic missile with a range of about 6,000km (4,000 miles).

I believe spy photos showed mobile weapons labs in Iraq as well. Hmm...

I believe, in the words of the prescient Secretary of State Rice, that this is a "grave and gathering danger". Moreover, I heard at the barber shop that Iranian exile sources on our payroll have learned that Iran has attempted to purchase yellow-cake uranium from Niger, and that there is solid evidence to prove it, including documents signed by the Minister of the Mines. Gosh, we cannot get McCain in office soon enough for my taste since Bush and Cheney are too faint-hearted to bomb early and fast enough to address this imminent threat.

Of course, at this point, NOTHING our government asserts is viewed with any credibility. That is one of the greater dangers this Bush administration has created for our nation.

For those who may find it difficult to find the satellite image with only the coordinates, try this link:

http://www.flashearth.com/?lat=0&lon=0&z=1.5&r=0&src=ggl

As I look at this image, I do not see what would constitute a missile launching facility, but then, I am not an expert in these matters. Perhaps someone who knows more could suggest something in the photo that would represent such a facility...

Uh, I forgot, you will need to paste the coordinates, given in the posts below, into the lower left corner search box at the Web site, and then click on the little magnifying glass icon in that same search box.

Oh no! Next thing you know, they will be launching missles at defenseless nations causing the deaths of untold thousands and destroying nations.

Ooops, no that would be us.

Great stuff. Thanks for the google coordinates. Here's what I noticed:

There are three roads leading into the facility. A dirt road heads west toward another facility and then into rough rural.

The northern paved road heads into northern mountains and then links into other roads.

Check the eastern road. It is paved, heads directly east in a straight line. The sat image drops in resolution significantly. About 20 miles from the facility the road adds a branch heading SE but the main road continues direct E. And it is a very straight line through what looks like very rough terrain.

At about 25 miles the road ends. Just stops.

I find that curious. Probably nothing, but still curious.

Took another look at the Eastern road. I don't think it's paved.

About 1/4 mile out there is a branch heading NE. Leads to what DigitalGlobe marks as a rifle range.

About 1/2 out there is another branch heading NE and also what may be a runway, also heading NE. The branch road goes to what looks to me to be an abandoned facility.

This stuff could be anything.

And how many long-range missile sites do WE have? (which WE need to PRE-EMPTIVELY strike a sovereign nation that might attack us?)

"the Polish Government is still negotiating with Washington over the American request to site ten interceptor missiles in Poland."

And how many long-range "interceptor" missile sites will WE have in Poland? (which WE need to PRE-EMPTIVELY strike a sovereign nation that might attack us?)

Is this a classic case of WE, THE AMERICAN EMPIRE, "protecting OUR interests" ALL OVER THE WORLD!?

OUR modus operandi...TAKE and you shall receive...if it TAKES 100 years? Let no man put asunder "OUR special interests" ALL OVER THE WORLD!

Isn't it time AMERICA stopped TAKING lands and lives?

OBAMA '08! (IF it's not too late!)
HOPE & CHANGE!

Stay safe, healthy and happy,
Love, Loretta

Loretta.

The interceptor missiles being negotiated for basing in Poland are not offensive weapons and are not designed to "pre-emptively strike a sovereign nation." They are designed to knock down incoming missile attacks and are part of a planned system to shield Europe from Iranian attack.

You are correct, that is what we use our cruise missiles and B2 bombers for.

How many nations can we destroy before we get ours from an angry world?

Many Americans think Iranian people will roll over after a few bombs are dropped on them.

They think everyone in the world wants to the have the totally crazy sleazy type culture America has.

Many are they ever WRONG

There seems to be some kind of reviewing stand and surrounding bleachers surrounding what looks like two tennis courts. There is also information from DigiGlobe that says it's a site used to test weapons. That information says that the Sahib missile site is not far from there. Check it out N 35 13 19, E 53 53 41.

When I said large new building on the right I was referring to the more complete picture here:

http://prisonplanet.com/articles/april2008/110408_b_scam.htm It does not appear in the Huffpo version either. Go ahead and look at it.... put N 35 13 19, E 53 53 41 in the Google Earth Fly to box.

Back on topic. The area indeed seems odd. However if you want to really look at it try putting these coordinates into your copy of Google Earth: N 35 13 19, E 53 53 41 . The Google pictures are a bit out of date as they don't have the building on the far right in them with the dark road leading through it. Judge for yourself what you think it is. Given the US intel apparatus history of intelligence being right, your estimate is probably just as good, if not better. Go ahead and look at it.

It looks like a quarry to me. The odd new building is a puzzle though. Perhaps to have trucks drive through to wash down the rocks?
