Sarah Jessica Parker Imitates Her Obama-Loving Son

Sarah Jessica Parker

Huffington Post   First Posted: 04/19/08 06:12 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 01:30 PM ET

Sarah Jessica Parker's five-year-old son James Wilkie is a Barack Obama supporter, as Parker has stated before. Today during "The View," on which Parker appeared to promote her wonderful new film "Smart People," Parker talked more about his views. Apparently James Wilkie, her son with Matthew Broderick, is a Democrat who supports, by default, all boys. He's even an avid follower of the primaries.

If people under the age of 18 could vote, Obama would have already wrapped this contest up, lol!!!

I have a 6 year old cousin that is a fierce Obama supporter too.. I think that children are exposed to the news and of course the constant discussions and may like a candidate for many reasons.

Sarah Jessica even said she thinks JAMES like Obama because he is a "BOY"..

My cousin's 9 year old daughter loves Hillary because she is a woman..

My 11 year old Son Loves Obama & I Do Too . I am not soooo far removed from reality that I do not realize My Support For Obama is Why My Son Supports Him.He has a Friend that came to stay with Us for the weekend & His Parents Taught Him Something Else. He Proudly Proclaimed that His Mother Did Not Want A Black Man For President !
I Was Astonished , I Didn't Know What To Say At First. We had not been discussing Polotics. He heard Hillary & Baracks Names mentioned on the News & said that His Mother Never Had A Black President & As Long As She Was Alive She Didn't Want One & He Didn't Want A Black President either. I told him that there were Other Candidates for His Mother to choose from like Hillary or McCain & Then I asked Him If He knew that Obama was White & Black. He seemed Confused & Said No.I told Him that Obama had a Black Father & A White Mother and as long as He is a Good Person it Should Not Matter To Anyone what Color He Is Because We Are All Human First.Everything Else Depends On what We Are Taught & By Whom. He is Still Welcome at My House. My Son thinks that His Friend has had a change of heart ( No Matter How Small a Change ) You Need To Start Somewhere. He Recently Told My Son

The fact that young people (yes, even as young as 5) are paying attention to this race is remarkable! I didn't start thinking about elections until I approached voting age. You go, you really young kids! LOL

It's kind of a phenomena...my 7 year old nephew is a Barack supporter and is basically schooling his parents (my sister and her husband) on why he is the best candidate...I'm quite taken aback...but he really is passionate and articulate about it.

My friend, who's an Obama supporter like I am was surprised the other day when her 4 year old daughter asked her to vote for Hillary. "Why?" my friend asked. Her daughter: "Because she's a girl just like you and me." My friend gaped for a minute before telling her daughter gently that there were other reasons to vote for a candidate, but she called me because the whole thing made her feel just a little bit guilty.

How dumb are these parents if a 7 year old can sway their vote for President?

That's really cute.

What a friggin joke. Why do the candidates even acknowlege going on these trashy shows. I mean no wonder Al Qaeda cant stand us. The presidency is not who is more qualified anymore but is a popularity contest. I am so glad I will vote for Nader. If these are typical voters and how they rationalize thier thought processes, heaven help us.

Go ahead, this is a democracy after all.

So Obama has the kids' votes. That'll help, not. Meanwhile the war-mongering old geezer will win for reasons I don't even understand. It's just something about the modern American's penchant for choosing idiots for presidents.
08:35 AM on 04/12/2008
John McCain cannot win against anyone, unless there is another false-flag operation that scares the B-Jeezus out of everyone. I'm sure at least a few Americans will fall for that trick again. His faults compiled against him, laid out one after another by Hillary in a debate, will blow him off the stage. He can't even remember who we are protecting and who we are trying to control and eliminate in Iraq......can you see him on a stage trying to win a debate?

KIDS, like ANIMALS (Dogs, Cats etc.) can always tell what kind of human they are dealing with. One has to think that most kids look at Hillary, see that smile and think she is like a gender twisted Ronald McDonald on crack or Ronald McDonald meets Chucky (from Child's Play) meets the Joker (from Batman). In short there is something rather frightening and disturbing about Hillary.

Kids are always good judges of character. They can feel if a person is kind, or mean. I guess that's why kids like Obama so much. They can tell a kind, sincere person, when they see one.
11:11 PM on 04/11/2008
Is that right? I think you are giving SJP's child a little too much credit. Maybe mommy should show him some Pastor Wright video's and see what little James thinks after she explains that this is B.O.'s spiritual mentor and dear friend for the past 20 years.
If little children had such profound insight about spotting good people, why do they still get in cars with strangers when they are offered candy? Because they are just a children, and do not know any better. Luckily we are adults, and can make an informed decision.
WAKE UP AND SMELL THE BURNING TOAST.

True, children have that sense about them, as do dogs and cats.

They can weed out the snake oil salesman at 40 paces.

Katie 1263 is obviously a Republican, a Hillary girl or Michelle Malkin incognito.
