Clinton Becomes A Gun Lover

CNN reported Saturday that Democratic Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton touted her experience with guns and hunting to a crowd in Indiana:

Hillary Clinton appealed to Second Amendment supporters on Saturday by hinting that she has some experience of her own pulling triggers.

"I disagree with Sen. Obama's assertion that people in our country cling to guns and have certain attitudes about trade and immigration simply out of frustration," she began, referring to the Obama comments on small-town Americans that set off a political tumult on Friday.

She then introduced a fond memory from her youth.

"You know, my dad took me out behind the cottage that my grandfather built on a little lake called Lake Winola outside of Scranton and taught be how to shoot when I was a little girl," she said.

"You know, some people now continue to teach their children and their grandchildren. It's part of culture. It's part of a way of life. People enjoy hunting and shooting because it's an important part of who they are. Not because they are bitter."

Clinton said she has hunted ducks.

ABC News later reported that Clinton also visited a restaurant in Crown Point, Indiana to share a shot of whiskey with the locals:

Clinton stood by the bar and took a shot of Crown Royal whiskey. She took one sip of the shot, then another small sip, then a few seconds later threw her head back and finished off the whole thing.

Clinton later sat down at a table and enjoyed some pizza and beer, and called over Mayor Tom McDermott of Hammond, Ind., to come join the table.

"Every time I get around you we start drinking, senator," the mayor exclaimed.

Clinton nodded and raised her glass.

"It's Saturday night, though, Tom," she said.

As a native New Yorker, now working in France, I was astonished at the warmth and sincere racial integration everywhere in Philly. To the point where I purchased a house there and happily spend my summers--in South Philly, by the way, and I'm White.
Obama, in portraying Pennsylvanians are gun-toting, bigoted religious fanatics evidences exactly what political slime is all about: lies--for all those on the Huff Po who were wondering.
Then along comes Hillary who predictably brags about duck-shooting, tossing back booze like a sailor. Bravo.
What we have here is slime in the form of Barack, and stupidity in the form of Hillary imagining slime, like mercury, can actually be nailed.
I am ready to bet any amount of money, for those of you harboring the belief either of these clowns is going to end the war in Iraq, and hence worth your wasted vote, that we will be there AT LEAST four more years. As for Iran, given the slim chance of re-election in 2012, if Obama becomes prez, prepare for something worse.
Someone, PLEASE, tell me PRECISELY what Obama has promised to do in the Middle East--oh yeah, besides being "open to suggestion." When, that is, he can resist blaming all America's ills on the "cracker mentality " he characterized as typical in one of the most tolerant and beautiful states in the Union.

Her father explained to her that it was the sound of a gun, a thing used to hunt ducks. (In Clinton-logic, this is when she was taught to shoot, and the first time she went duck hunting)

I am afraid, madame, that when you use these things to publicly further your campaign, these become matters of public concern. If you are going to use this gun issue, i am afraid it is all too relevant. When you use your religious faith as a line to reel in the voters, that too, is all too much the public's business. Hillary is in big trouble, court in L.A. has hearing this month on the 25. They were hiding it and the media didn't want to talk about it, but protesters are already planning and the media will be force to talk about it.
