Tim Russert Nails Hillary Clinton Over Bosnia Trip Falsehoods

Tim Russert, host of Meet the Press, nailed Hillary Clinton over her repeated falsehoods regarding her 1996 trip to Bosnia. Clinton has said, on multiple occasions, that her plane had to make a "corkscrew" landing due to danger and that she had to run off the plane because there could be sniper fire. These statements were false, and Russert has video of Clinton repeating these statements four different times.

Sen. Clinton's staff members and the president of Bosnia have come forward to describe the serious precautions taken during Sen. Clinton's trip to Bosnia, including taking a C-17 cargo plane that was capable of steep descents and ascents, moving Hillary and her daughter to the armored cockpit for landing. "Those facts explain why many of us, including the first lady, believed that the conditions on the ground were precarious. We were worried about sniper fire and were prepared to rush off the tarmac when we landed," write the people who accompanied her.

Obama has lied repeatedly about how his parents fell in love during the civil rights march in Selma, Ala., and conceived him. He even mentions this in his book. In fact, he was aged FOUR at the time, and pops had already split. How is this different from what Hillary said about her landing in Tusla? Both are fables the candidates created to enhance their mystique. Both repeated their stories and included them in their books. Yet Hillary is shredded by the misogynist media and the salivating internet mob. She's a lying whore. No one has a WORD to say about lying St. Obama. (LIES: He was a law professor; He was against the war all along; Rezko; he passed important nuclear legislation; he's never taken money from the oil gas, & pharmaceutical industries; never heard anything controversial come out of Rev. In fact, Sen. Clinton's Tusla story has more basis in fact than St. Obama's mythical conception. The killings and rapes in Bosnia didn't stop on the day the Dayton Accords were signed. They went on for years! It was a war zone for years! (Americans' lack of understanding of history is famous--how else could you consider women to be liberated, the Clintons to be a menace, and Obama to be an "agent of change"? That's the mindset of the American Idol generation.)

The American people have watched Hillary and Bill run a dirty campaign in which they've repeatedly lied (although this is hardly a first for Bill). She started out with a lead and yet has lagged behind Obama for months. No polls are showing that she is more popular than Obama, and no polls show that she can win against McCain, unlike Obama.

Please explain how this equates to 'she keeps fielding the fire'? The only flames are coming from her campaign crashing and burning, and her personal ambition is destroying the Democrat's chance of a Presidency with it. Are you such a fan of the Clintons that you'd sooner see the Republicans take the White House rather than give up your support for them? Yet her greatest flaw politically is that she is running on the credentials of another: basically her qualifications are Hype, Hubby, and Hyperbole.

There is one point that is being glossed over here: Bill Clinton blamed his wife's "mis-statement" on it being late (he claimed it was after 11pm), and on her age (61). But Hillary is supposed to be ready at 3am???

I am developing a crazy conspiracy theory: Bill Clinton is secretly working for the Obama Campaign!

First, Bill stirs-up racial controversy in North Carolina. The result: Black voters who had been largely split BEFORE that begin to switch to Obama in droves.

Second, Bill and Mark Penn are "secretly" supporting Columbian NAFTA behind Hillary's back. The result: she has to "demote" her chief strategist, and her own claims of being "Pro-American Worker" are now being openly questioned.

Third, Bill Richardson, long-time friend of Bill is all set to endorse Hillary, but Bill's constant harrassment and threats pushes him into endorsing Obama.

Finally, Hillary lies about Bosnia, and Bill "excuses" her because she's old and tired??? She's running against a man 16 years younger than her. Did he REALLY need to point to her age as an excuse for her "mis-statement"?

I don't know, I think we need to re-check Bill's tax returns to see if he got a Form 1099 from "America for Obama". They couldn't ask for a better "anti-surrogate"

Yes, indeed, every single Sunday for at least 8 weeks Tim Russert devotes his program to the "gotcha" game with Hillary Clinton as his prey. He is usually joined by other Hillary-haters and this part of the show has been allowed about 30 minutes to play out. The Obama play book that Tim is using lately is "she can't win," "not enough delegates", "Obama has more popular vote", "Clinton is dividing the Democratic Party by continuing to run her campaign." Even though it has been pointed out that neither of them have enough delegates to win outright, that doesn't bother Russert. The fact that there are still 10 primaries to go doesn't bother him. The fact that the Electoral College votes are in the big states which Clinton has one with the one exception: Illinois. Makes me wonder what's in it for Russert? Will he become Obama's Press Secretary should Obama win? Gosh, there must be something because his show is surely light years away from objectivity or a non-partisan approach to discussing and presenting a political election.

Sure, there's no way for either of them to achieve the "presumptive nominee" number. That's not the point though! The point is that she CANNOT mathematically win a majority of delegates at this point. IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. The Electoral College argument is beyond stupid. First of all, this is a primary, so the Electoral College doesn't matter. Do you seriously think that because a candidate carries a state in a primary, then it means they are the only candidate that can win it in the general election? I live in Washington State which went handily for Obama. If it were possible for Hillary to win the nomination, she'd win Washington in the general. THAT'S BECAUSE DEMOCRATS WILL VOTE FOR THEIR NOMINEE! And almost all the states with the most Electoral votes ARE BLUE STATES. Are you dumb enough to think that NY, CA, NJ, etc are going to go red? And now, if California had another primary, Hillary would lose big time!
Going by the Clinton campaign's argument that if she were to drop out, then the remaining states would be disenfranchised, then that means that half the country has been disenfranchised every election year since 1968. Usually the nominee is pretty much decided on Super Tuesday, so the rest of us are stuck with inconsequential primaries or caucuses.
