I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Hillary Drinking

The Pennsylvania primary is around the corner, and with the votes of blue collar workers on the line, Democratic candidates are engaged in a full-blown beer-off.

Hillary started the weekend off right, chasing a shot of Crown Royal with a mug of Old Styles on Saturday.

Obama took some time during his Monday morning speech to the Alliance for American Manufacturing to question Hillary's swilling candor, as well as to attack charges that he is "out of touch" with the American public:

Now it may be that I chose my words badly. It wasn't the first time and it won't be the last. But when I hear my opponents, both of whom have spent decades in Washington, saying I'm out of touch, it's time to cut through their rhetoric and look at the reality.

After all, you've heard this kind of rhetoric before. Around election time, the candidates can't do enough for you. They'll "promise you anything, give you a long list of proposals and even come around, with TV crews in tow, to throw back a shot and a beer.

But if those same candidates are taking millions of dollars in contributions from the PACs and lobbyists, ask yourself, who are they going to be toasting once the election is over?

But not so fast. Not too long ago, Obama himself took a weekend trip to the bar, Yuengling in hand, according to the Politico:

He sipped a Yuengling beer, but his local knowledge fell short when he confessed he didn't know much about the regional brew widely consumed in Pennsylvania.

"You know I got a beer down there," Obama said to a male patron. "What do they call it? A Yuengling?"

"Yuengling," the man confirmed. "Like you didn't know."

"Trying a Pennsylvania beer, that's what I'm talking about," said Obama, his sleeves rolled up, smiling. "Is it expensive, though? ... Wanna make sure it's not some designer beer or something."

[WATCH]

The Pennsylvania primary is around the corner, and with the votes of blue collar workers on the line, Democratic candidates are engaged in a full-blown beer-off. Hillary started the weekend off right...

He may live in a house & drink Rolling Rock. BTW do the new owners of Rolling Rock still brew it in Pa?
Since some say Crown Royal is watered; chasing it with a beer could give you the same kind of effect as drinking CC [Canadian Club] straight.
Isn't drinking Crown Royal an elitist affectation by HRC?
Why don't BHO & HRC guzzle Old English 40 ozs when they try doing the working person bit & use it to chase doubles of Carstairs, or Imperial, or, maybe, Green River?
2 years for a campaign is too long. The candidates's photo ops are now beyond absurd. When do the candidates start sleeping at Days Inn & eating at Burger King? How can you go off thread when you comment on these campaign related farces?

The notion that Hillary's "shot and a beer" routine wasn't planned and scripted (after extensive polling) is laughable. Take whatever you're offered? Let's hope someone offers Hillary a cup of hemlock.

Ouch....time to bring out the hemlock.

Who cares if it was planned. Every minute of these candidates days are planned. SO WHAT?!?!?!?! Obama did the same darn thing and I don't give a crap. This is so stupid.

Re: Obama's Yuengling ignorance. Like Barack I am I Chicagoan, and while I'm aware of Rolling Rock (now a national brand), Yuengling's a new one to me. I wonder how many Pennsylvanians are aware of Goose Island, 312, or some of our other local Chi brews. As for HC and her shot and a beer, she couldn't get any more addled and full of it than she already is. She may as well get drunk.

Yuengling is the oldest brewery in the united states. If you have a pair, you've drank a Yuengling. It is prevalent in the east but still distributed in the west.

Hillary once outdrank McCain on shots of vodka, your Obama is a panderer.

Yeah, half (or more than half if Obama had allowed MI and FL to revote) of the democratic voters in the country just want to be around someone who is vile...or maybe your worldview is warped.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 10:34 AM on 04/15/2008

Obama supporters just don't get it. They refuse to belive that anyone could support Clinton instead of Obama without it being based on race.

They believe it is perfectly fine for Ibama to get 85% of the black vote. But, if whites in states like Ohio and PA vote for Clinton, they must be voting on race.

In their minds if people really understood and read his website (it's always please read his website) and looked at the full context of everything (it's always please watch the whole video) then anything rational, thinking person would come to the same conclusion that they have. they would understand how Obama is the only person capable of saving our country. It just defies all logic for them that anyone might actually prefer another candidate.

This attitude of the Obama supporters, that they know what is best and anyone who doesn't agree is somehow lacking, is the perfect definition of ELITIST.

You obviously have a totally distorted perspective of Obama supporters...Seems that you blindly follow Senator Clinton. Her mentality of the Presidency being a right is off. In addition all of the
lies and story telling is ridiculous...There are numerous reasons why Obama is supported. Sometimes the blind will see...

Hillary Clinton has no class, no ethics. She doesn't even talk about the issues anymore--just about how bad Obama is. I don't really understand how anyone could vote or support for her. Anyone with half a brain cell should be able to see through her. If she winds up stealing the nomination and then of course losing to McCain, the idiots in Pennsylvania and Ohio will only have themselves to blame. I know the South gets a bad rap for being Idiot Central, but some of you Yankees make us look Einsteins.

I don't know about everyone else but this whole f*%king primary is making me bitter! The good people of PA may not deliver us our chosen nominee but safe to say Obama will emerge the victor once all the bullshit clears. If there's any doubt that the Clinton attack machine is worse that the GOP attack machine rest assured Obama will best the both of them. He's not the messiah, just the future president. We deserve it, we're very close to acheiving it and it scares the hell out of old time politicians like Clinton Inc. and McCain.

I'm bitter about the nasty campaign that Clinton is running, and how the media seems to support it. Hell, it's good for the ratings! I'm bitter that a good man is being dragged through the mud by this horrible, amoral, woman. If she steals the nomination from Obama, I'll be very bitter indeed. I won't be voting for McCain, but I'll be laughing my ass off as he reveals all the skeletons in the Clintons closet.

she took what she was offerred. The first thing you learn as a pol is to take what you are offerred, which is probably the local custom.

But, when Obama recently visited a diner to talk to the locals, he was offered a coffee. he said NO, I'll have an orange juice.

the pundits ridiculed him for not knowing to take what was offered. they said it showed one of the reasons he has trouble with local people in small settings compared to how well he does at the big rock star events where the Obamabots come to worship their savior

if you think having a shot and a beer at the local pub is a bad thing, then maybe that's whay you have trouble understanding why the working class voters are supporting her.

Or, maybe it's just a sexist thing with you and you wouldn't have a problem with a man having a shot and a beer.

Please read the facts of the entire San Francisco speech before you jump to conclusions. The Huffington Post blogger who wrote that piece is a Clinton fan who stops at nothing to get a story. She took the lines out of context. Read the following from one who was there. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-coleman/i-was-there-what-obama-re_b_96553.html
I can tell you first hand how the Clintons lie. I live in a rural area where thousands of acres will be ripped apart by huge pipelines of two private energy companies. Clinton learned from Washington insiders that she could sway undecided voters if she used our cause for her rally, and she did. At the rally, she distorted Obama's energy record. Guess what? It turns out that for years, she's been taking donations from those same private energy companies that she opposes publicly. You should realize that Senator Clinton owes huge corporations who ship jobs overseas. Go to her list of contributors and read her earmarks. She takes the most money from corporate lobbyists. At first I supported Clinton until I began to research these things. I thought for all those years that it was just men who didn't like her because she's a woman. Now I realize that I was very wrong about her. If you want elitist, check out how Bill Clinton got his $109 million in income compared with Obama's $900K. You will find a very interesting list of characters.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 01:29 PM on 04/14/2008

she didn't distort his record on energy. he was for tax breaks for big oil comapnies before he was agianst them. He know states he wants to get rid of the tax breaks for big oil. But, he forgets to mention that he voted FOR those very tax breaks when he voted for the Cheney energy bill.

Obama is out of touch.

He blames Americans, who he looks downs as uneducated hicks, for being upset because the federal government that he is part of embraces illegal immigrants and free trade agreements at the expense of American workers.

He can drink all the bad beer he wants. It won't change his elitist contempt for average Americans,
