Obama: Hillary, McCain Using "Very Same Words" Against Me

Barack Obama said yesterday that Hillary Clinton is using attacks from the GOP playbook. Today his campaign circulated a fundraising letter, charging that Hillary Clinton and John McCain are using the "the very same words" to attack him. Obama isn't the only one who says it's two against one. The Washington Post points out that Hillary and John McCain are sounding like they are in an echo chamber when it comes to attacking Obama these days.

Sen. John McCain joined in the criticism of Sen. Barack Obama yesterday for Obama's comments about "bitter" victims of small-town economic distress, while Obama's rival for the Democratic presidential nomination weighed in with a tough new ad on the controversy.

Speaking at a gathering of newspaper editors and executives in Washington, McCain echoed the rebuke voiced repeatedly by Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, calling Obama's characterization "a contradiction from what I believe America is all about."

When Clinton made up a whole Bosnia sniper-fire incident, Sen. Obama never mentioned it and never used it in an ad. He didn't have to, and besides, he and his team knew the episode would help them less if it looked like they were trying to milk it. Obama didn't lie. Hillary lied again! Now Hillary and McCain are piling on forgetting that their years in Washington have contributed to the problems of our country.

For at least 25 years there has been a Bush or Clinton in the White House! Let's bring in new people with fresh ideas where people work across the aisles to solve some of our serious problems. If we continue with the same old people with the same old ideas we will remain in the same situations. It is time for change.

Obama doesn't have to run a negative ad, he's got MSNBC doing that for him each night. They spent an entire day saying that Clinton told an incorrect story regarding a woman denied hospital care, who later died along with her child. Clinton told that story based on a Sheriff who knew the family. One hospital came out and denied the story and the media jumped on her as a liar who should have checked out the story despite the fact that patient records were private. As it turns out, the story was true, a second hospital had in fact turned away the pregnent woman, leading to complications that resulted in the death of the infant and mother. I didn't hear Matthews of KeithO run a correction. The bias is incredible and fair mined folks ought to be outraged no matter who they support.

It really is stunning, and you're right, ERESTV, you'll be criticized and insulted. The truth is, as bad as this site is, it looks like a Hillary fan club when compared to the coverage at MSNBC. It used to be just Matthews and his crew that demonstrated their disdain for Clinton, but Keith O has outdone him, and never misses an opportunity to defend and praise Obama and distort and berate Clinton. I worked for a woman very much like Clinton, and saw what she had to put up with in dealing with powerful males who reported to her. Clinton makes mistakes and can be her own worst enemy, but for her to take the flack she's received is grossly unfair. I can't watch MSNBC anymore, and the sad truth is, while Fox is brutal in their treatment of Obama, at least they base it on facts that can be argued one side or the other. There's no balance on MSNBC for Clinton. For example, if Bill Clinton had gone to an Ohio event where the medium income is 38,000 and said "I'm sure you know how difficult it is to pay 10,000 dollars for dance and piano lessons for your children" the media would have crucified him. But Michelle can say it and not be seen as "out of touch." Go figure.

So I just finished watching John McCain on the Hardball College Tour. Watched it here on the Westside of LA with a couple Democratic bigwigs here in the Golden State, won't go into who they were, after it was over we looked at each other and pretty much simultaneously said, he is going to be tough to beat. He came across as optimistic, didn"t blame anyone for our troubles, took responsibility for those things he should have. He also distanced himself from Bush. He looked "adult" for lack of a better word. The audience, by the end of the show, clearly liked the man. There was a respect given towards him, even by those who didn"t agree with him. Dare I say it? He looked Presidential. His knowledge was based on experience� Obama will go up against him and use his "theories" while McCain will rely on his experiences. I think, at this point, that McCain will score an electoral landslide. After all Barack Hussein Obama hasn"t won ONE big state except IL. Big Mac will win all the Hillary big states.
