Bush And Benedict
Pope Benedict XVI became only the second Pope to visit the White House, and he gave a speech about the purpose of his trip and the importance of democracy being informed by moral values. In attendance was, of course, Bush. The President must have been extremely impressed by the Pope's words because right after Pope Benedict concluded his remarks, Bush leaned over and said, "Thank you, your holiness. Awesome speech."

It is not the stars and bars, that is what the Virginia state flag was called. The one that Robert E. Lee used.

What an inarticulate idiot we have for president. How embarrassing for this country. BTW, is that a confederate flag in the smaller picture on this story?

What?

Damn.

Had Obama been there, he wouldn't have heard a word.

Or if he had, he would have forgotten what he heard.

I think this is a right wing comment, but I don't understand what mister Kemp is talking about
or what the point of his statement is. Mister Kemp, please come back and explain your comment.
What are you trying to say?

So the Pope is giving a lecture on morals? Heck of a job, Benny. Read a book about Franny Spellman and stop trying to pass the buck. Oh, and don't drop the soap in the White House shower; the Repubs love good bottoms. Y'know, they do the job their American wives won't do.

Despite its many failings the Catholic Church has been the single greatest source of good mankind has ever known. God bless Pope Benedict XVI.

That must be why they have supported each and every fascist dictatorship in history: Mussolini, Hitler, Franco, Somoza, Videla, Pinochet, Noriega, Pahlavi... BTW, all devout Catholics...

- Night of 11th-12th July, 1941
"National Socialism and religion cannot exist together....
"The heaviest blow that ever struck humanity was the coming of Christianity. Bolshevism is Christianity's illegitimate child. Both are inventions of the Jew. The deliberate lie in the matter of religion was introduced into the world by Christianity....
"Let it not be said that Christianity brought man the life of the soul, for that evolution was in the natural order of things."

- 10th October, 1941, midday
"Christianity is a rebellion against natural law, a protest against nature. Taken to its logical extreme, Christianity would mean the systematic cultivation of the human failure."

- 14th October, 1941, midday
"The best thing is to let Christianity die a natural death.... When understanding of the universe has become widespread... Christian doctrine will be convicted of absurdity....
"Christianity has reached the peak of absurdity.... And that's why someday its structure will collapse....
"...the only way to get rid of Christianity is to allow it to die little by little....
"Christianity the liar....
"We'll see to it that the Churches cannot spread abroad teachings in conflict with the interests of the State."

- 19th October, 1941, night
"The reason why the ancient world was so pure, light and serene was that it knew nothing of the two great scourges: the pox and Christianity."

- 21st October, 1941, midday
"Originally, Christianity was merely an incarnation of Bolshevism, the destroyer....
"The decisive falsification of Jesus' doctrine was the work of St.Paul. He gave himself to this work... for the purposes of personal exploitation....
"Didn't the world see, carried on right into the Middle Ages, the same old system of martyrs, tortures, f*ggots? Of old, it was in the name of Christianity. Today, it's in the name of Bolshevism. Yesterday the instigator was Saul: the instigator today, Mardochai. Saul was changed into St.Paul, and Mardochai into Karl Marx. By exterminating this pest, we shall do humanity a service of which our soldiers can have no idea."

- 13th December, 1941, midnight
"Christianity is an invention of sick brains: one could imagine nothing more senseless, nor any more indecent way of turning the idea of the Godhead into a mockery.... "When all is said, we have no reason to wish that the Italians and Spaniards should free themselves from the drug of Christianity. Let's be the only people who are immunised against the disease."

- 14th December, 1941, midday
"Kerrl, with noblest of intentions, wanted to attempt a synthesis between National Socialism and Christianity. I don't believe the thing's possible, and I see the obstacle in Christianity itself....
"Pure Christianity-- the Christianity of the catacombs-- is concerned with translating Christian doctrine into facts. It leads quite simply to the annihilation of mankind. It is merely whole-hearted Bolshevism, under a tinsel of metaphysics."

"There is something very unhealthy about Christianity."

- 27th February, 1942, midday
"It would always be disagreeable for me to go down to posterity as a man who made concessions in this field. I realize that man, in his imperfection, can commit innumerable errors-- but to devote myself deliberately to errors, that is something I cannot do. I shall never come personally to terms with the Christian lie."
"Our epoch in the next 200 years will certainly see the end of the disease of Christianity.... My regret will have been that I couldn't... behold its demise."

Let's see if this'll get past the censors this time.

Amanda, you are a history revisionist and a liar. Yesterday, you were telling everyone Ratzinger was 22 y/o in 1945. He turned 18 three weeks before Germany surrendered, by that time he had already deserted. Now you're saying Hitler was a devout Catholic. We all know the religious affiliation of Pol Pot, Kim Il Sung, Mao, Robespierre, Lenin and Stalin. Every one seems a bit confused about Hitler. For your edification:

OH, please, Mary. What about medicine, or electricity, or the printing press...? Do you think any of those things did any good? Why am I bothering. It's like talking to one of those Warren Jeffs followers. They think HE is Jesus.

Well which one? Which one of those has guided mankind from empire through the dark ages into the Rennaissance, a second round of empire, the Age of Enlightment, the Industrial Revolution, the Atomic Age, and now the Information Age. Which one of those has, for two millenia, fed the poor, healed the sick, visited those in prison, been an advocate of peace, been an advocate of liberty, lifted up the downtrodden, and ministered to the spiritually empty. Electricity is done a lot of good, but it doesn't hold a candle to the light of Jesus Christ.

Be it that that was kind of a broad assumption, he could have said that Christianity or religion has been the most benevolent, you can't overlook the good the Church has done for the billions of people who have adhered to the call.

I'll put the 2,000 year history of the Catholic Church up against just 200 years of murderous totalitarianism by the hands of leftist atheists, anyday. The killing fields, Mao's cultural revolution, Stalin's purges - the list goes on and on.

This is utter bullsh*t. I worked for three decades in the human services field - on the front lines - working directly with people who were down and out. The Catholic Church wasn't even a player. They had nothing to offer. Zero. Zip. Nada. Zilch. Professionals who work on the front lines with the most vulnerable in our society know this. The Catholic Church collects massive amounts of money and uses almost all of it for its own self-perpetuation. In view of their total take, there's a minuscule amount of good being done.

Furthermore, if you had been born at a different time, in a different place, you would probably view the Catholic Church as pure evil. One of many examples: millions of indigenous people were killed due to the institution of the 15th century Inter Caetera papal bulls. That, alone, supersedes the good the Church has done. And that's only a small piece of the big picture. It is only by your limited point of reference, your ignorance of history, and your narrow thinking that you would make the outrageous claim that "the Catholic Church has been the single greatest source of good mankind has ever known".

Who is this guy? Keanu Reeves? Awesome speech? You're the frickin president! For God's sake try and sound like it when the pope, repeat THE POPE, visits the country if only to keep him from telling his vatican friends he met "president half-a-retard".

I used to wonder why our presidents ran to the Vatican all the time to talk to the pope-man (emphasis on "man" since the Catholic Church seems to have a serious problem with women - could be they secretly want to be one?! The evidence is huge.)). I thought religion was separate from politics and government. No such luck. What is revealed in the link below is amazing and we all need to understand that the Vatican owns us. Pretty scary stuff. The Vatican is the religious center of the world government, the City of London is the financial center, and Washington D.C. is the military center (with the help of the Jesuits). All three cities are entities unto themselves, own laws, separate everything. Where you aware of this? And weirdly enough, each of these three centers has a big old Egyptian oblisk in it's front yard. Yep, the big penis that was cut off of an ancient "God" and now represented by these oblisks. Hmmmmm. You would think this kinda stuff was pagan and not Christian.

Funny - The most reverend Gavel, a right-hand man to both ML King & Louie, Louie was convicted this past weekend of raping his own teenage daughter 15 years ago.

Never mentioned on the mighty HuffPo - I don't find it to be possible that Gavel & Obama were not associated.

Damn, another miss by the MSM. Shocking.
