LOS ANGELES — Despite committing to the cause and calming her nerves each week with yoga and candles, Priscilla Presley became the latest celebrity casualty Tuesday on "Dancing With the Stars."

The 62-year-old actress, who came into the results show in last place, failed to capture enough viewer votes to overcome her low score. Judges said her rumba was dull and technically imprecise, awarding her just 21 out of 30 points.

"It lacked spontaneity for me," said head judge Len Goodman. "It was too careful. I was disappointed with the performance."

Still, Presley was gracious, telling the judges, "I applaud you. You did a great job," as she left the ballroom.

"This has been an incredible experience," she said. "It is life-changing. ... I learned so much about myself and all the things I can do."

Celebrities weren't the only ones trying to charm the judges on the ABC dance-off. The "ballroom dancing kids" competition, which began last week, continued Tuesday with two pint-sized pairs vying for a chance to give a command performance on the show, which draws nearly 20 million viewers each week.

Tuesday's show also featured an upbeat performance by hybrid rockers Ozomatli and a tender tune by balladeer James Blunt, who sang his new single, "Carry You Home."

Judges scores are combined with viewer votes to determine which couple is eliminated each week.

Seven contestants remain, including pro football player Jason Taylor, Olympic skater Kristi Yamaguchi, R&B singer Mario, and actors Shannon Elizabeth, Cristian de la Fuente, Marlee Matlin and Marissa Jaret Winokur.

Adam Carolla, Steve Guttenberg, Monica Seles and Penn Jillette have already been eliminated.

I have to agree that it's a shame. I don't really see where she needed "work" to start with. She was gorgeous. Has looked 40 for years.

Now it's just sad.

Judge Len Goodman (the old man in the middle) was too harsh on her. Priscella did a great job with splits and everything. If she hadn't falling on her sword and admitted she was so nervous I think most people would have thought that Judge Goodman was being a pig, which he was.

Priscilla Presley didn't seem to have a fan base to help her. She wasn't really any worse than some of the others that I hope will go real soon.

If Prescilla gets another face lift, she'll have a beard.

No lie.

Who botched her chin like that? it looks horrible.

She spoke out recently on the pitfalls of cosmetic surgery. She had botox injections at a botox party (what is celebratory about sticking needles in your face if you don't have to is beyond me). The person who did the injections not only lied about his credentials, but he injections a non-cosmetic form of silicone rather than botox. For months, only one side of her face functions.

It's a shame that such a beautiful woman feels a need to enhance herself to be younger. As for her stint on "Dancing with the Stars," she can be quite proud of her performance. She brings honor to those coming of age in this country.
