Lieberman And Mccain

The Hill:

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), the Democratic Party's 2000 vice presidential nominee, is leaving open the possibility of giving a keynote address on behalf of Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) at the Republican National Convention in September.

Republicans close to the McCain campaign say Lieberman's appearance at the convention, possibly before a national primetime audience, could help make the case that the presumptive GOP nominee has a record of crossing the aisle. That could appeal to much-needed independent voters.

While Joe's hanging out at the Republican convention, he can pass the time by challenging Chris Matthews to a duel. Oh, that's right, I forgot: he'll be in that fluffy chicken hawk suit with the double oak leaf clusters, so he can't actually fight.

Now we'd like to hear James Carville liken him to Judas. At least it would fit in this situation. I bet he would like to run for Vice President on the McCain ticket. That would go over big with McCain supporters. What a laugh!

He is slowly becoming Zell Miller. Scratch that he is quickly becoming. With the Democrats on target to pick up seats in the senate, Lieberman's support towards the caucus might not be needed in the next congress. He may find himself lock out of the caucus in the senate and without leadership posts if he keeps going against the party.

I am not saying that he is not entitled to do what he is doing. I am just saying that he ran on a platform that he would align with the Democrat caucus in the congress and the Democratic Party is elected. Voters elected him on such a viewpoint. Now he is going against the caucus and the party which breaks his pledge.

Ok Here is the skinny on Lieberman. For two years now, he has held Pelosi and Reid hostage with the threat of crossing the aisle. Give me these committee heads or I will turn repug. Don't threaten impeachment or I'll cross the aisle. Fund my earmarks or I'll cross over. Vote like I want on all issues or I'll jump ship.

It's the only reason i can think of to support how Reid, Pelosi and the other Dems have caved on EVERY issue since taking control of both houses at the midterm. So I cannot wait until the Dems pick up two seats from repugs in November and can finally tell good ole' Joe that he's fired from the Democratic Party. They'll strip his committee chairmanships, he'll go Republican and then WHO THE HELL CARES!!!

Good riddance, Joe, you self-serving, corrupt, piece of cow dirt!!!
