The Morning Call notes:

Barack Obama can take some solace out of Hillary Clinton's new television ad in Pennsylvania. At least one of her supporters featured in the spot hammering Obama for his small town comments isn't registered to vote in Pennsylvania.

Clyde Thomas, who sports a goatee in the ad and says, "the good people of Pennsylvania deserve a lot better than what Barack Obama said," is actually registered in New Jersey. He voted there for Clinton Feb. 5. He only recently moved to Bethlehem, Pa.

"It shouldn't be a big deal. I explained it to the campaign," Thomas said in an interview. "I see Pennsylvanians for what they are. I grew up with the values of Pennsylvanians."

So he makes these comments to a bunch of elitist San Francisco millionaires and billionaires, and the point here has to be made that Obama was not just talking about the people of Pennsylvania. He was talking about people in Missouri, and southern Illinois, Iowa, North Dakota, Kansas, North Carolina, Alabama, flyover country, the people who make the country work. He is talking about all the people who did not use affirmative action to get into Harvard and Yale and Princeton, who don't have the money to live in mansions in the cities; the people who I say make this country work; the people who will be in church on Sunday clinging to their God not because they have nothing else to hold onto, they cling to God -- they are not even clinging to God, they are worshiping God. It is part of who they are. Now, this, to me, folks, makes all the Jeremiah Wright, Michelle Obama stuff crystal clear to anybody just glimpsing this. Damn the middle class, damn it. Michelle Obama has said as much, and so has Reverend Wright from the pulpit. The middle class, the people who pay the freight, the people who pay the taxes so these elites can destroy the country, the people who make the country work.

Of course there will be "Honest American Bloggers" installed as well. If I were the Hillary camp, I would not leave that part un-addressed. I would put all these "Folks" out there to give their "Honest Homespun Opinion" on the matter of the opponent for the prize.

You overdid it. You sound like a print-out sheet. That's why it was so easy to spot you. Be more subtle next time. Try again though, this IS America after all.

Just putting my thoughts down on the screen. The only difference is, nobody's paying me to.

Is this considered news at the Huffpoo? Seriously Arianna - we all love our democratic candidates, but once in a while you need to come up for air from your Obama love-in. Your bias is truly embarrassing for what is supposed to be a news organization.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 09:21 AM on 04/17/2008

Arianna favors Obama for actual reasons. Hillary is not as good a candidate.

Simple. You like simple, don't you?

This is not a "news organization".

Why do the Clinton supporters have to degrade Obama supporters with their every word?

Ms. Huffington is not "biased", she has an opinion which is what blogging is all about.

Unlike you however, she allows the other side to speak freely without cheapening them.

This was about Obamas comment s alone not voting. He is not connecting with the people.

If you want to compare voting, Obama Girl, someone that supports Obama did not vote herself. Yeah we know that Obama had nothing to do with the video, just like the 1984 video, but that is beside the point.

"... Obama Girl, someone that supports Obama did not vote herself. Yeah we know that Obama had nothing to do with the video, ...but that is beside the point." That IS the point, genius. There is a big difference between that example of an individual Obama supporter not involved directly with the campaign, and this one for Hillary that starts with "I'm Hillary Clinton and I approve this message" and is directly from HRC's campaign.

I never really saw it like everyone elase seemed to. Sure, framed and explained with the benefit of hindsight it was ridiculous. but I keep my expectations low when it comes to the MSM. I kind of like all the tabloid stuff because it's exactly what the general election is going to be like. I thought the doofus moderators were actually doing Obama a favor by giving him a preview of the crap he's going to have to deal with. I also think he handled it brilliantly. He will make an excellent president.

The people in that ad seem about as genuine as the Clintons themselves.

I'll bet everyone of them is either a professional actor or a paid ( or non-paid, in the Clinton campaign's case) worker.

I hope the Clintons keep up the hateful rhetoric, tho -- it only proves the Republicans were right about them all along.

Does this mean he gets to vote again in Penn.???

I don't think his statement becomes irrelevant because he votes in New Jersey instead of Pennsylvania.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 02:38 AM on 04/17/2008

On it's own this story is minor indeed were it not part of what now seems to be a pattern of deceit on the part of the Clinton campaign.

One more lie for the pile.

Hey! I live in New Jersey and I voted in the February primary too. Would it be elitist of me to tell the Keystone state voters (my grandmother was from there but left before women got to vote) that Obama's comments ARE what they deserve? Yes? O.K. Never mind. If you think that the former Goldwater girl would be a better commander-in-chief do what you think is best for this country.

Hillary, the hillarious. First, she has an Obama supporter as the little girl on her 3 AM ad; now she has a New Jersey voter pretending to be a PA voter feeling the pain of Senator Obama's 'bitter' vocabulary. Sure looks like the Hillary Camp has a bunch of clueless folks who fail in research skills.

Only takes two brain cells to know that you cant refuse a pregnant woman medical treatment

Hell, she doesnt even have to pay, she gets medicaid

The woman Hillary was talking about actually DID have health insurance from her employment-The story that she & even Chelsea kept telling over & over again for 5 weeks could easily have been checked with 15 minutes of phone calls-They just didn't care if they told us the truth or not-

Well, he's in PA now! He's honest enough not to vote twice! Are all the Obama supporters going to jump on the 'bash PA voters' bandwagon now? The guy will be voting on 'our' side (the Dem side) in Nov...give a man a break, eh?

"The guy will be voting on 'our' side (the Dem side) in Nov...give a man a break, eh?"

"He voted for Clinton in New Jersey Feb. 5." It sounds to me like the guy might be a little 'bitter' if Obama gets the nom...perhaps 'bitter' enough to NOT be voting on 'our' side!?

I'm an Obama girl...but I WILL be voting on 'our' side if Obama doesn't get the nom...because we DO need HOPE & CHANGE, and refusing to vote...or voting for McSAME would doom our dwindling 'democracy'!

OBAMA '08! (IF it's not too late!)
HOPE & CHANGE!

Stay safe, healthy and happy,
Love, Loretta

He was SO HUNGRY HE ATE THE REGISTRATION CARD FOR SNACK.

No, he wasn't hungry....

HUFFPO investigation reveals that the Big Guy was actually depressed, or some might even say BITTER.

That's why he went on an eating binge, and ate his Voter registration Card.

You Obamatons are amazing. Your candidate supposedly represents a new era of political reconciliation, but all his supporters do is spew hatred. Maybe you bullies should consider joining the GOP. Lee Atwater is alive and well, and he waves an Obama placard.

The man in the ad is entitled to his opinion, whether you approve of it or not. Aren't we all members of the Democratic Party?

Obamatons fail to realize is that we can't afford to piss off moderate, working class, Clinton Dems. Obama can't beat McCain without them, so change your tone.

Some people would find it ironic that someone that has lived in the state for weeks can be a spokesperson for all of the people in Pennsylvania. Then again, Hillary knew the folks in New York for having lived there for so long.

I would not speak on behalf of PA voters even though I spend one weekend a month there and have lived 37 years in PA.

ABC Debate ¦ How does Obama respond to the "elitist" charge?

I wonder if the Hillary attack ads will include this video: wealthy Obama supporters laughing at Barrack's belief that middle class Americans have a tendency to be bigoted. Listen to them chortle over their clinking wine glasses when Obama says these people would be skeptical of a 46 year old black man named Barrack Obama .

Watch the video, and tell me how you would explain the laughter to a working class family undergoing tough economic times.

p.s. there are photos of the San Francisco event. They look like a Martha Stewart cocktail party.
