Michelle Colbert

Michelle Obama appeared on Tuesday night's "Colbert Report," which was filmed in Philadelphia, and was subjected to the jokes, flirtations and songs of host Stephen Colbert. It seems Barack is a better singer than Stephen:

Elizabeth Edwards thinks Hillary's health care plan is better than Obamas's. Not that her opinion matters.

I just felt the need to say one more time, Hillary LIES, even if it is not germane to the the post.

It's not germane to the post, but Hillary has shown herself to be a lier. Do we really need another lier in the white house?

We could use someone who can spell. I don't think you can call someone a liar if you can't spell it.

And what ;s so frightening about it is that it looks like it may be pathological. Who tells those sort of huge graphic tales that is 1) unnecessary, 2)being videotaped and 3) so easily disproven 4) while running for the most important public position in the country 5) where winning the confidence of the people is pretty important. Pretty scary to me.

This didn't come across as authentic or spontaneous to me.

Her answers came across as pre-rehearsed.

Maybe, she was just prepared with a PAT response, as she was expecting the "ELITIST" discussion.

After all, that's probably why she came on the show - damage control BEFORE the big PA Primary.

She wasn't there for "damage control," because there was no damage done, at least to Barack Obama's campaign. He is doing better in the polls now than he was before the whole trumped-up "bitter" discussion. It's actually HELPED him. Conversely, the more that Hillary pushes the issue, the higher her negatives go. If she loses Pennsylvania because of this, the bitter irony will be complete.

Wow! they finally allowed her out to speak. She usually causes him more harm than good. Why can't we have more candidate spouses like Cindy McCain, instead of another HILLARY want to be.

YES, thats right a H I L L A R Y want to BE...................................She raised the bar for candidates spouses.................she wears a PANTSUIT......................she has a BRAIN ...............and now she will finally use it.

Michelle, please dress the part, since you want to represent smart women. You should cover up your back and arms more.............Let your BRAIN represent you...........not your body....The style comparison to Jackie is an insult.....

I can't wait to compare this to Colbert's next guest - Hillary....

Should be an interesting juxtaposition....

The juxtaposition of Michelle Obama's appearance and that of Hillary Clinton will indeed be interesting but probably a little unfair.

Stephen was bound to stay gracious with Mrs Obama because she is the spouse not the candidate, Hillary Clinton on the other hand ...

We'll see soon enough.

Another example of Barack's good judgment. Choosing Michelle as a wife. Beautiful and classy.

She is very attractive.

Colbert was nearly out of his chair leaning across the desktop. He seemed so smitten and mesmerized by Michele, he almost became Colbert with a T. They were only about 2 feet apart at most. Quite a contrast to the day before, when Tweety Matthews shrunk back like a scared little school boy.

I was hoping he'd go all Bill O'Reilly on her like he usually does in interviews but he stepped out of character for once.

She seems to be representitive of the three things we try to instill in our daughter; beautiful, smart and tough. What a great role model of a first lady for the young women of this country. I can only hope that in ten years I will look as good at 46.

Thanks Huffpost for putting on a positive message. It is nicer all American can see we have come a very long way to be a more united nation. The world is watching and I they, like us, are seeing a big change in All Americans to acknowledge for the first time in over 400 years as a nation a black woman will be a first lady.

If someone would have asked me just one and a half year ago, I would have said never happen. At least we are going through something positive with showing this clip.
