Imus: Obama "Almost A Bigger Pussy" Than Hillary

MediaMatters reports that on his radio show this morning, Don Imus said that Barack Obama is "almost a bigger pussy than [Hillary Clinton]." From the Media Matters summary:

During the April 17 edition of Imus in the Morning, host Don Imus asserted that Sen. Barack Obama is "almost a bigger pussy than" Sen. Hillary Clinton. While discussing the April 16 Democratic debate, Imus said he thought that co-moderator George Stephanopoulos was "great" and that the debate was "fine," adding: "I thought Senator Obama was on the defensive most of the night. But they're both sissy boys or sissy girls, or whatever. Because they talk big when they're out on the campaign trail, wolfing on each other." News anchor Charles McCord interjected, "But then," and Imus continued: "And then when they show up at the debate, they fold up like a couple of cheap lawn chairs. I mean, I don't understand that. And he's almost a bigger pussy than she is."

Although Imus shows just how much of an idiot he is everytime he opens his mouth he does make a point, however convoluted it may be.

Obama does extremely well when he's making speeches in front of an audience. When he is placed in an environment that is more candid, where a prepared speech does not apply, Obama does not perform nearly as well.

I don't like Imus at all, but his viewpoint on this should give Obama supporters something to think about. Obama's performance in the debate was weak, and that is very troubling because this was the first time he was really tested. All the attempts to blame ABC will be seen as deflection and damage control. Everyone knows he will face far tougher attacks going against the GOP. One can see the traps that are being set for him right now. If a right wing hack is already calling him a "sissy", you can see where this is going. Unfortunately as we learned in the last two elections, people vote for all the wrong reasons.

The unfortunate reality of the last 4 years is that the Democrats nominated Flip Flop Scary Kerry. America was force to choose between an idiot who was already in office and a completely unpredicable person who changed his mind everytime the wind blew. Bush's advantage was that he already held office and voters knew where he stood. He stayed on message throughout his campaign, something Kerry did not do. In the end Kerry was his own undoing.

I agree that Obama is a smooth talker, but then so are used car salesmen. The ability to speak well does not inherently make a good leader of nations. I have yet to see where Obama actually has past leadership experience. He talks a good talk but the fact Obama has not had his metal tested as a leader makes him an unknown variable many voters are not willing to gamble on.

This go around Joe Biden should have been the Democrat nominee. As a republican I would have entertained voting for him over McCain. As it is right now there is no way I'd vote for the "let's tax the whiz out of everyone to fund my enormously expensive programs" socialist Hillary nor the completely untested, unknown, smooth talker, Obama.

Obama was reacting with disdain at the pettiness of the questions that they started with. I'm not saying some of the questions shouldn't be asked in the long run but with a lot of ground to cover, the moderators of that debate should have gotten it off the ground with the more important issues that people want to hear about NOW.

No doubt there are some undecided voters in PA who tuned in to watch the debate because they wanted to hear where the candidates stood on vital issues affecting their lives.

It was supposed to be an important debate prior to an extremely important primary. The people of PA deserved better. We all deserved better.
