Climbing to the top of this week's "Viral Video Chart" is a leaked music video from Microsoft, promoting their outstanding sales of the Vista Service Pack. To give their employees that extra hop in their step, Microsoft made "Rockin' Our Sales," starring a Bruce Springsteen cover band not-so-cleverly titled "Bruce Service Pack and the Vista Street Band." The three minute presentation has all the makings of a viral video classic- corny lyrics, terrible acting, and already a 1-star rating! Check out the hilariousness for yourself below.

Hey, monopoly has its privilege.

This released is just in time to tie-in with the Springsteen endorsement of Obama.

Now that's what I call piggybacking. True marketing genius and a double-whammy for The Boss!

Beyond lame.

This was their idea of a cool, motivational video for the Sales Team? Man, they really are that "PC Guy" from the Mac ads. How lame was that video?

I agree. I keep reading where Microsoft is full of the best IT guys and gals, but their corporate culture just doesn't reflect that. Google and Apple are much more in line with the real info tech mindset, the truly innovative types. It's very similar to an artist or other creative mindset. Microsoft pretends to be cutting edge, while others just know how and do it. Personality types reveal the truth.
Bill Gates does not fit the creative profile. He's a corporate thug, much more business admin than creative science.

Jeeze, I though MS got out of the soflware business after Apple's Unix OS (with an amazingly small kernel). Do you mean to tell me people still use MS? OMG, are these people crazy?

The Boss should sue...

No one should be surprised by this, should they? Only Redmond's Retarded Giant would see using a 20-year old Springsteen reference as a way to "hep" the posse in Sales to their job well done. Someone slightly clever could've made this fun by using a bit of irony, but as I said, it's Redmond.

In the corporate video world, a place routinely ridiculed by the people who work it, MS is known as a penny-pinching cadre of dullards still clinging to the idea that the world will forever beat a path to its doorstep. This sad little piece is only one of many, as any self-respecting Microsoft employee will tell you.

Who the hell buys their software anyway when you have Bittorrent?

People not willing to rationalize casual thievery.

Strifeknot, are you mad?

If I've learned -anything- from the past 8 years it's that theivery, cheating, and dishonesty ARE the way you get ahead in America.

Heyl, you folks rationalize casual murder and raping of countries, so we rape and steal your music and film industry.

Piss off.

What do mean, "you people?" That's pretty presumptuous.
