PHILADELPHIA — Barack Obama was greeted by the largest crowd of his campaign Friday night in Philadelphia. Some 35,000 people jammed into Independence Park to see the Democratic presidential candidate, four days before this state's crucial April 22 primary.

Frank Friel, director of security at the Independence Visitor Center, made the official estimate.

The crowd exceed the 30,000 who greeted Obama and Oprah Winfrey in December in Columbia, S.C.

Obama told the crowd the United States is at a crucial moment in its history, much like what the founding fathers faced in Philadelphia.

"It was over 200 years ago that a group of patriots gathered in this city to do something that no one in the world believed they could do," Obama said. "After years of a government that didn't listen to them, or speak for them, or represent their hopes and their dreams, a few humble colonists came to Philadelphia to declare their independence from the tyranny of the British throne."

The Illinois senator called Democratic rival Hillary Rodham Clinton a "tenacious" opponent but said it was time to move beyond the politics of the 1990s.

"Her message comes down to this: We can't really change the say-anything, do-anything, special interest-driven game in Washington, so we might as well choose a candidate who really knows how to play it," Obama said.

Daily Kos or Huff Post: Can someone research Karl Rover fom childhood --school, boyscout troop, parents, children, pets, up -down- inside out -and publish it please. Get opinions from old girlfriends
(ooh) and boyfriends. See who he trampled down first and his stair steps along the way . Please--I bet this research would be widely read and appreciated.

keep sipping on the bitterjuice unreasonismyreligion. Of course the Pope draws bigger crowds, but guess what? SYBILLARY HillLIARy, Slick Willy, and McCain have NEVER drawn crowds like that. LMAO@ your bitterness!

Clintonistas are as bitter and desperate as their candidate!

Of course, the Pope draws bigger crowds. The notion that somehow Obama supporters think he is the Messiah, just because we like him as a candidate, is hilarious. I find it extremely funny that so many people are unnerved by our support for him.

Rachel Maddow pointed out that since the Vatican is a State, the Pope is a head of State, and the usual protocol for visiting heads of State is for them to review the troops. However, that did not seem appropriate in the case of the Pope. So, he reviewed a troop of Boy Scouts instead.

It is amazing that after that lousy debate debacle, Obama can draw those crowds. People have had it with politics as usual. The every day person wants change. O.K. he did not stump on her at the debate but he remained stately and professional thoughout. While she looked like a tattle tell and opportunist. I have had it with the status quo. I want change.

Come on America, let's do it right this time. We can do it.

The MSM has dug up every "link by association" much to do about nothing accusation that they can on Obama, yet these obvious much to do stories on Clinton are not mentioned. This is why the MSM is losing ground to the interent news. We don't need a bunch of so-called news pundits tell us what is or isn't important to us.

There is also a video out there with Hill and Bill at a huge gathering (fundraiser) with this Paul guy.

This goes to the fundamental argument of whether Hillary is honest or not, and I do not believe that she is.

Keep posting it b2008! This is the type of stories that the MSM (I am losing more faith in everyday due to Clinton/Corporate censorship)

They bellyached about the non-existent criminal activity between Obama and Rezko, yet CLINTON'S ONCE AGAIN GET CAUGHT IN CRIMINAL ACTIVITY PAUL AND CAMPAIGN FRAUD, WITH EVIDENCE, and the MSM has yet to this story up. I am so glad for the internet because as much as i use to rely on the MSM to give me the news, I realize that the two faced double talk that is everything Clinton suppresses negative, damaging stories about them. Never again will I support the Clintons nor believe their lying mouths. I can't believe I supported them for 16 years!

This could have been a debate question, you know George S & ABC News knows about this!!

This is just one of many stories like this, Obama has decided not to play this game with his fellow Democrat, (because he is committed to the Democratic Party) but Republicans would have a field day with her, that’s why they are trying to help her get the nomination!!! She has not been vetted yet trust me!!

Taking the Pulse of Pennsylvania Voters

Sixty-two percent of voters polled who've switched their party registration to Democratic since January say they will vote for Sen. Barack Obama, says Terry Madonna, professor of politics at Franklin and Marshall College. The state has some 275,000 people newly eligible to vote in the Democratic primary.

Appellate Court set to hear arguments in Paul vs. Clinton case
By Kathy Miller | The Hillary Project

Among the issues the California Court of Appeal is being asked to decide is whether Senator Clinton’s role in soliciting campaign contributions from Peter Paul in excess of $1.2 Million amounted to a felony.

If the three panel of judges rule that Senator Clinton is protected under the anti-SLAPP law, she will still have to testify as a material witness in the case of the collapse of Stan Lee Media, which is expected to begin discovery with depositions of the Clintons, Al Gore, and Ed Rendell at the end of this year, with a trial date in 2008. Former president William Jefferson Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, and Kelly Craighead are expected to be called as witnesses in this case.

A ruling is expected by September 17, 2007 whether to bring Senator Clinton back as a defendant in this case.

The oral arguments are scheduled at the Ronald Reagan State Building in Los Angeles at 10:00 a.m.

The Neo Cons will not surrender power. It will have to be wrested BACK from them by the people, who will have to get off their Tobe Keith and Starbucks duffs, and that will not be easy.
You think the rightwingers can't 'engineer' an accident for Obama if he even comes close to winning? Think some national scare can't be fashioned by the uber wealthy war mongers and their Faux-News bootlickers? The distractions (gas prices, britney Spears, you name it) are being cranked up by big money and own our pre-owned media (including, yes, the increasingly transparent CNN) as we speak.
Can't call Ghostbusters --so what are we going to do?

So then, you have to appreciate the sacrifice that Obama and his wife, Michelle, and their children are giving to this country. John McCain needs no security. Obama does. But the question is, "Why don't you wear a flag pin Mr. Obama?" I say, "Stick it."

We should do what any other opposition party has done to overthrow the status quo. In our case, Bushies, Fox News, Hannity, Rush and their message of pro-war. We make a prodigious effort to enervate their message and educate the general public that a new philosophy is needed for the country.

The key, we have to be united to do so....

That is everybody's deepest fear in this country, especially the Blacks. And if it happens, I'll bet any amount of money, they'll pay someone Black to do it to past the blame buck.

All we can do is pray for Obama, keep him and his family in our prayers, and ask God to keep him in his hands.

This country is so full of SATAN, that one of his own will not sleep one night thinking of doing the inevitable. I just hope everybody is watching that's around him, and that includes we, the people, also. We need to keep our eyes open, look around for anything that seems strange or out of the orginary, look up at windows that could be suspicious, keep our cameras at the ready, and yell for help if anything looks detrimental because many can get hurt when there are so many people around him.

Please stay alert.

I don't know whether Obama is a different kind of politician. (It feels so). I don't know if he channels Huey Long or JFK. I do know that many of my youngers find him powerful and hopefully useful to their ideas and ideals. We oldsters have a cynicism about politicians. The good point here is that Obama has not been a politician for so long as his opponents. He may devolve. He may evolve. He is the last best chance of changing the dialogue. Ask no more than that. Barring this you will deal with a small and clever facism that never confronts you directly but will ask you inane questions of satisfaction after the fact.

We know for sure that the career Politicians Clinton and MCCain have been in Washington for years and have devolved. Excellent point. Perhaps anyone planning to run for office representing the American People will now know that you can't sit in Washington for years and not protect our livelyhood, our children's furtures and our soldier our heros and their families and now come before us and ask for a Promotion. The Recession happened on their Watch! We won't reward Poor Performance with a Promition. That's our Real World Politics!
